Chapter 9 - Moving in

PEETAS POV

I wake up early to the sound of everyone's gentle snores. I move my arms around hoping to find Katniss but. I soon realise that she is not here. I slowly Get up of the couch and tiptoe out of the room so I don't wake anybody. I pass Finnick and stifle a laugh as he has dribble coming out of his mouth. I walk into the kitchen to find Katniss sat at the table with a bowl of cereal.
"Morning sunshine" I say as I grab my own bowl of cereal.
"Hey cinnamon toast" she replies whilst shoving cereal in her mouth. She looks back at her phone and sighs.
"What's the matter?" I ask her, taking a seat next to her at the table.
"Nothing really, I just really miss Prim and my mum and dad. There back in 12 so it's not like I can just visit them when I want" when she says My heart breaks. It must be so tough for her to see me with my family when she can't have her own.
"Tell you what, at Christmas break we will go down and surprise them and we stay the entire Christmas break with them? How does that sound?"
"I love you so much" she cries, sitting on my lap. " I was going to go anyways but surprising them will be more fun and will you really come!?"
" Of course I will, I wouldn't miss it for the world" I kiss her forehead and she wraps her arms around my neck.
"I'm going to get changed, see you in a bit" she gets up of my lap and walks out to find the bathroom.
I decide to wake the others seeing as it was 10:00 already. I grab several pots and pans with spoons and walk into the living room. I smile as they are all curled up together and snoring peacefully. Not for long I think as I begin to smash the first set if pans together. They begin to stir but none of them wake up so I grab a bigger lot with a metal spoon. I bang them together several times and this time I get the reaction I was hoping for. One by one they jump up screaming, waking each other up more so they scream in terror as they hear the loud sound along with there screaming. They stop when then realise it's only me and scowl at me, all telling me they will get me back.
"Yeh yeh it's 10 already what are we doing today?" I ask looking at each of there un impressed faces.
"Moving Cato in with me and Katniss" Glimmer says like it was obvious.
I will admit though I had completely forgotten.

KATNISS POV

I can't believe that Peeta is coming with me at Christmas! I'm so excited for him to meet Prim. I jump into the shower, after grabbing my clothes and make up from my bag. I take a quick shower and whilst my hair is drying in a towel I dress myself in some high waisted jeans and a black crop top. I apply my makeup and the rest of my hair with a hair dryer. I stop when I hear loud banging from downstairs but continue when I hear the group screaming at Peeta. He must have woken them up with some pans. I finished getting ready and head downstairs to find Peeta ready and dress along with Glimmer and Cato. The others are still I their pjs eating breakfast.
" The others are staying with Finnick until we are finished with Cato then they're all coming over later" Glimmer says grabbing her purse and heading to the front door.
" I completely forgot about Cato" I whisper to Peeta and he says the same back to me. We are such bad Friends I think as I hop into the back of the car with Peeta. We drive to Catos house first and help him put the boxes his mum packed for him int he boot of the car. It takes several trips but finally we have All of Catos things in the living room, neatly packed into labelled boxes, thanks to Catos mum. She is so different to his dad. She is loving and caring and sweet and well his dad is just the opposite! Glimmer and Cato decided they would share a room so we unpack all of his clothes into the other spare draws in her room and place anything he doesn't need in the spare room. It takes us all day and around 3 Peeta had to go do his shift in the bakery but we eventually finished. We decide to order Pizza as none of us here can cook and the others will be arriving shortly. Around 6 everybody else arrives along with the Pizza and Peeta. We all can't be bothered to play truth or dare today so we just pick a movie and watch it. I snuggle up to Peeta on the couch and half way through I can feel myself drifting off. Peeta seems to notice to as Suddenly I'm in his arms and he is walking upstairs. He puts me onto my bed and pulls the covers over me. Just as he is about to walk away I grab his wrist and pull him back.
"What's the matter?" He says softly making my heart melt.
"Stay with me?"
"Always" he answers, sliding into bed next me. I curl up next to his body and slowly fall asleep.
