Chapter 17 - Christmas Eve part 1

PRIMS POV

I wake up on the couch, covered in a large blanket with the ELF theme song on repeat. I groan as it begins again and switch it off. I turn around and look at the time. 9:30. Me and jay had decided to go shopping today so We might as well go early seeing as it is Christmas Eve also. Crazy shoppers are out at this time of the year! I look towards the other couch and see Katniss and Peeta snuggled up I together. They are so cute. I walk slowly over towards them and shake Katniss awake being carefull not to wake Peeta at the same time.
"Katniss" I whisper when she doesn't wake up.
"Get up, Kat we got to go shopping" I say when she groans. She groans once again but slowly un wraps herself from Peetas arms and stand up. She stretches before giving me a small smile and shuffling into the kitchen. I follow her and grab some cereal.
"So what do you need Primmy?" Katniss asks, pouring herself a bowl of CoCo Pops and sitting down next to me.
"Umm I need some small things for mum to complete her gift and then something else for you and Peeta" I say mumbling the last part about her and Peeta.
"Prim, Peeta isn't expecting anything from you, you know?" She tells me.
"I know, I just want to because I don't want to leave him out. I know I just met him but I already feel as though he is like my brother." I say shyly.
"Oh Prim, He wouldn't be left out anyways. I have a few things for him and I think mum and dad do too." She says walking to the sink.
"Okay let's get ready" I say walking up to my bedroom. I jump into the shower and pick out some jeans and a shirt to wear. I dry my hair and get changed. I throw my hair into a messy high ponytail and put my makeup on. I'm only allowed a little bit of concealer and eye stuff but being 14 I don't really mind that rule. I grab my purse with some of my pocket money in. I put it all in my bag and head back downstairs.
10 Minutes later Kat walks back down in a some dark skinnys jeans with a white jumper on. Her hair is in a messy Hun and she has a little bit of makeup on. She doesn't need it though, she is beautiful enough without it. She comments on my outfit and checks her phone.
The door opens and a shirtless Peeta walks in. Katniss looks up and blushes when she sees and I stifle a small giggle. He must not have seen me yet.
"Morning cinnamon toast" Katniss says, walking over to him.
"Morning" Peeta says wrapping his arms around her waist. She leans in and gives him a small kiss before looking down momentarily at his shirtless body and smirking.
"What?" Peeta says
"Nothing just enjoying the view with Prim" she says giggling. I let out my laugh at this point and Peeta Blushes.
"sorry Prim" he says with his head down.
"Okay toasty me and Primmy are shopping so have fun, text me if you need me and also Get changed before mum starts drooling too" Katniss says pointing to mum, who is standing there with her mouth open. At the mention of her name she blushes and shuts her mouth.
Katniss gives Peeta another kiss. A longer one this time. I have to practically tear them apart so That we can leave!

KATNISS POV

I give Peeta another kiss but make it longer. After about 3 minutes Prim decides to step in when things get a little heavier.
"Bye, Have fun!" I shout shutting the front door.
"Sorry Primmy" I say getting in the front seat. She joins me in the passenger seat.
"It's alright" Prim says, bringing her phone out of her pocket. She starts texting someone and I look over and see a boys name. 😍Finch😍 is written at the top.
"Oooooo has Prim got a crush!" I shout.
She blushes and immediately locks her phone.
" Maybe I do but at least I don't snog his face off in front of everybody, he's topless!" She says back. Wow she has gotten sassy.
"Okay I'm sorry but then again who wouldn't when they have the opportunity to?" I say pulling into the car park for the shopping center.
"Okay fair point.......Does that happen often?" She asks.
"What the snogging or the topless part?" I say smiling
"The 2nd one" she says giggling.
"Quite a lot" I say sighing, thinking about his toned body.
I park the car and we hop out. We walk into the shopping centre and Prim immediately drags me into Hmv. She picks out some posters and we leave. We go into lush next and we decided that we won't show each other anything that we buy so it's a surprise, even if it's not for us. For Prim I decide on 2 bath bombs and a medium size bottle of Snow Fairy. I grab another 2 for mum as well seeing as I know she likes this stuff. The next shop we go into is Jack Wills and I pick out a shirt for Prim and some Underwear for Peeta. I already have most of his gift but I might as well get extra while we are here. I also decide on a dress for myself seeing as we will be seeing family and things tomorrow all day. I see Prim at the checkout once I'm finished and tell her I'm waiting outside. Whilst I'm waiting my phone rings and I see it's Peeta.
"Hey You" I say answering the phone.
"Hey Pretty..... I was just wandering what your favourite scent is?" He says suspiciously.
It takes everything in me not to just say you.
" ummm I don't know I like most" I say.
" I just love how helpful you are, my favourite thing about you." He says jokingly.
I laugh and turn to see Prim walking out the store. " Thanks, I gotta go but See you later."
"Okay I have to do some shopping stuff so Can I meet you guys in half and hour?"
"One sec" Hey prim, I say turning to her.
"Do you mind if Peeta joins us later?" I ask her. She smiles widely and madly shakes her head.
"Sorry Peet yeh we will meet you at Starbucks?" I say back to my conversation with Peeta.
"Yeh sure sweetie, see you later"
"Byeeee" I say dragging out the E. I hang up on his laughter and return to my shopping trip with prim.
We go into paper chase next and I spend forever picking out stuff for mum. My phone buzzes and I see a text from Peeta.

FROM : PEETA😘🍞
Hey Kat just got here, still okay for Starbucks?

Peeta xx

TO: PEETA
yeh We'll be there in 5 xx

I look for prim and see her in the line for the checkout.
"Prim" I say walking over to her "I have to go meet Peeta but meet us at Starbucks when your done okay?"
"Okay" she says moving forward in the que. I walk across the mall to Starbucks and see Peeta already sat at a table. I walk over quietly and place my hands over his eyes. He screams a little and some people around us look and laugh a litte.
"Guess who?" I say in a creepy voice.
"I have no idea?" He says sarcastically.
"Hai" I say returning back to my normal self and kissing him on the cheek. I take a seat next to him and dump my bags.
"Jeese Kat, what have you bought!?" He says.
"Presents" I say slyly.
"What would you like to drink my lady?" He says standing up.
"I would like a hot chocolate please" I say like a 6 year old.
He laughs and joins the que. I see Prim walk in and spot me at the table. She walks over and dumps everything around the table.
"What do you wanna drink?" I ask her standing up.
" ummm a hot chocolate please" she says.
I walk over and join Peeta at the end of the que. I wrap my arms around his waist.
"Came to order Prims drink" I say when he gives me a weird look.
"I'm not complaining" he says leaning in and kissing me.
After that we order the drinks and re join Prim at the table.
"What do you need to buy?" I ask Peeta at the table.
"Presents" he says imitating me from earlier.
"No really" I say.
"Extra stuff for my girlfriend, her parents and this little one" he says pointing to Prim, who is busy texting Finch.
"Oh really? And what's this girlfriend of yours like?" I ask smiling.
"Well for starters she is really pretty and smart and funny and don't even get me started on the snogging and the bed a-"
"Peeta!" I slap his arm and point towards Prim.
" you finished?" He says.
"Yep let's go Prim" I say grabbing all the bags. "Where do you need to go?"
" I need to go into Jack Wills but you have already been there and places like that" He says pointing to the bags.
"I can go again" I say , giggling.

*2 Hours Later*

"I'm so tired Kat" Prim complains, slouching next to me. She has about 20 full bags so I'm not surprised. I gave half of mine to Peeta seeing as I had double of Prims. We walk over to the car and dump our bags in the boots.
"See you back at the house" I say, giving Peeta a small kiss. I get in the front and wait for Prim.
We exit the car park and I see Peeta through my mirrors. He notices me and pulls a funny face. I laugh at him and return to the road. We soon arrive home and I bring all the bags up to my room. Peeta follows me up and dumps everything on the opposite side to where I put mine. I flop down on the bed and watch as Peeta joins me, laying next to me. I turn and kiss him, slowly moving so I end up on top of him.....

It's Christmas Eve!!!! I decided to split this into 2 parts seeing as I thought it would be kinda long as one but part 2 should be up tomorrow for you all!
Sorry if you think it's short but it took me about an hour to write so I hope you enjoyed it.
