Chapter 31 - Spring Break begins

KATNISS POV
After enduring being sat on the edge of the couch for 20 minutes whilst Cato and Glimmer make out and Peeta stands awkwardly in the doorway, Annie and Finnick decide to make an appearance. "Took you long enough" I whisper into Annie's ear as she drop her bags in the hallway. "Sorry Kat Finnick had to pack all his hair products" she sighs rolling her eyes as Finnick bounds into the living room. "He may be a little excited" she giggles following him in. "What's new" I mumble returning to my spot on the couch, thankful to see glimmer and Cato had finished. "So who else are we waiting for?" Peeta pipes up, now lounging on the floor instead of in the doorway. "Marvel and clove and then we can go" glimmer answers "are we stopping for food?" Finnick panics "yes Finn we are stopping for food it's ok" Annie giggles patting his back. "There on there way!" Glimmer squeals standing up and grabbing all her things whilst we stare at her "c'mon guys! They will be here any second!" She yells waving her arms around as we all groan and leave our comfy spots.

"We'll text you guys if we decide to stop ok?" Clove calls getting into her car along with marvel and Peeta. "See you guys later then" Cato waves as he disappears off with glimmer. "Dibs not driving!" Finnick declares "Katniss are you good to drive I'm not that good at it yet?" Annie asks as Finnick clambers into the car like a 5 year old. "Yeh sure" I shrug not really wanting to drive the 5 hours but agreeing anyways. "Thanks Kat" she smiles following Finnick into the car.

PEETAS POV
"We'll text you guys if we decide to stop ok?" Clove calls getting into the passenger seat, marvel the drivers seat and me the back. "How long a drive is it?" I ask as marvel pulls out of the driveway shortly followed by glimmer and Cato. "About 5 hours but seeing as we are first we can stop for food whenever i guess" clove shrugs already plugging in her headphones. I decide to do the same and select some All Time Low to start of the journey. Eventually I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know my headphones are being ripped from my ears and marvel is shaking my shoulders. "Finally!" He laughs "we have stopped for food if you would care to join us" he tells me, running of to catch up with the others leaving me to get out the car. I make my way into the huge service station and begin my search for the group. I try Macdonalds first and to my surprise find no one in there. I try all the fast food places and find them all empty of my friends. I get out my phone and decide to ring Finnick and see if he can shed some light on their location. "We're in nandos peeta, it's one of the first places you see from the entrance" "well I'm sorry if I thought you would all be inside Macdonalds" I laugh hanging up and jogging over to the chicken palace. "There he is!" Cato laughs standing up so I could see them. "We kinda had to order for you so Kat chose the chicken wrap is that ok?" Annie checks sipping on her coke "that's perfect, my favourite" I smile, remembering the takeaway meal we had one night and I told her this was my favourite. "You remebered" I whisper into her ear taking my seat next to her. "How could I forget" she smirks as the food arrives.

KATNISS POV
"what do we get Peeta?" Glimmer asks as the waiter stands ready for his order. "Uhh the chicken wrap, it's his favourite" I blurt out instantly covering my mouth as the group stare at me. "O-ok can we get one chicken wrap aswell then please" glimmer asks as the guy nods and walks off to deliver our order. "There he is!" Cato laughs standing so Peeta could see where we were sitting. "We kinda had to order for you so Kat chose the chicken wrap is that ok?" Annie checks and I internally facepalm. "That's perfect, my favourite" he smiles taking a seat next to me "you remebered" he whispers into my ear causing a chorus of butterflies to resurface. "How could I forget" I smirk before mentally slapping myself for flirting with him as the food arrives.

"Right let's get to this stupid cabin!" Finnick shouts as we trek back through the car park towards our own cars. "How much longer Kat?" Annie asks as a Chorus of doors slamming fills the half empty car park. "About another 2 hours or so" I sigh following marvel back out into the main road. The motorway soon fades until we turn off onto a smaller, bumpier road covered by tree canopies. I follow marvels car along the bendy, uphill road until he takes a left into the long driveway. I park right behind him and turn around in my seat to see Annie and Finnick cuddled up together asleep. "Annie, Finnick get up we're here" I call gently. "Guys get up" I say once more a little louder. "Annie Finnick get up now!" I yell as they startle like deer in headlights. "Are we here?" Finnick sleepily smiles. "Yes now c'mon" I urge grabbing my things from the back of the car.

"Now sleeping arrangements" glimmer announces as we all stand in the kitchen having put all our bags to one side. "There is only 4 rooms and gale and Johanna are joining us later on in the week sooo Clove and Marvel your good to share right? And then Annie and Finnick and me and Cato....and Kat and Peeta" she cringes looking up at our reactions. "No" I bluntly say "is there 2 single beds in the room" Peeta calmly asks " no we booked this place when you two were together" glimmer mumbles as the situation gets worse. "Is there not anywhere else I can sleep" I plead. "No not really, look Kat just go and have a look and put your stuff away and have a think it's not gonna be that bad" Annie half smiles handing me my things. I trudge upstairs followed by Peeta and open the door to the last room along the corridor. Upon opening the door I first see a king sized bed, each side accompanied by a bedside table and lamp. A mirrored walk in wardrobe sits opposite the bed with a door next to it leading into the ensuite bathroom. I notice a couch next to the large double doors and mentally decide that that will become my bed for the next week and a Half.

Oh my gosh I updated its a miracle.
I know it's really bad but hey it's nearly Christmas and I got an A* in my English CAT worth 25% of my GCSE so thought I would update as a celebration for Christmas and my results.

I hope you guys enjoyed this crappy short chapter as nothing really happened but hey it was kinda needed.
