I walk into class and sit down, unaware of the people around me. Taking a look at the agenda and opening my book, I starting on the assigned work. An average day, for a not-so-average person. I tucked my hair behind my ear, catching a glimpse of a familiar face.
An all too familiar face.
I glanced up from my book only to widen my eyes in horror, and quickly stare at the page in front of me once more. I notice him look at me and I quickly untuck my bangs, trying to hide myself from his view. My clammy hands shake as I try to continue writing, my pencil shaking with me.
I slam my hands down on my desk and get up, running from the room. Footsteps sound from behind me and I keep running, knowing who it is. I stopped dead in my tracks and braced myself as he ran into me, making us both fall to the ground. I rolled to pin him down, but he beat me to it.
"Let....me....go!" I struggle to get out as I finally get on top. I pin my arm to his neck.
"What are you doing here?!" I screamed in Peter's face.
"I go to school here!" He defended.
"Well then why haven't you been here since the you know what?" I asked in a whisper-yell.
"Because I've been... recovering?" he said making it sound more like a question that a statement.
"You're a bad liar, Parker," I said standing up.
"I know," he mumbled.
"So what are you really doing here?"
"I- well, I came to see you," Peter said looking down shyly.
"Why?"
"Remember the war...?"
*Flashback*
I stared at my reflection in the mirror and took in a deep breath.
"Just don't die," I tell myself.

"Ready, Kid?" Cap asked as we walked onto the battle field.
"Too late to change my mind now," I said staring straight forward. The battle began quickly, and though I hated it, I started fighting, too. Next to Captain America, I kicked a person. I didn't take the time to match their face.
Something caught Cap's shield and ripped it from his grasp as we all looked up.
"Hey everyone!" a muffled voice said happily.
"You brought the kid?" Cap asked dumbfounded.
"You did too!" Stark yelled pointing at me. The spider-boy and I made eye contact for a split second before I vanished, only to reappear behind him. I reach my arms around him, grabbing the shield.
"Thank you," I said quietly before disappearing and reappearing by Captain America.
"Woah!" he said, clearly amazed by my powers. The fight continued, but I was too stunned that another kid was on the battle field that I couldn't fight properly.
"Wow, you have a metal arm?! That's so cool!" The teen fanboyed while fighting. I appeared between Bucky and the boy quickly.
"I'm sorry, but fighting a disabled person is against policy, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave," I said sarcastically before side-kicking him. We continued back and forth until I had cornered him.
"So, Spider-boy," I begin until he cuts me off.
"Who are you?" he said genuinely curious. He walked around, circling me in a way.
"My name? And why should you know?" I said kind of stunned.
"B-because," he stuttered before webbing my hands to the wall. He pulled off my mask to get a solid look at my face. I stared at him for a second before my mind knew what to say.
"Okay, you're turn." I smiled, forgetting he was my enemy for a second.
"And why should you know?" he said mockingly. I rolled my eyes and disappeared before reappearing directly in front off him, taking his mask off myself.
His warm brown eyes met my (e/c) ones. We smiled at each other before he did something I would have never expected. He kissed me.
Of course that was followed with him webbing me once more with a quick 'I'm sorry' as he swung off. And a goofy smile on me.
*Flashback over*
"Of course I do...." I said with a blush rising on my cheeks.
"Well..."
