"Okay, on the count of three," Peter started, only to be cut off.
"Three," both me and my dad said, leaving Peter in the dust.
"Fine, then," Peter grumbled to himself before following.
Before I knew it, there was a giant hole in the side of the ship. Granted, that was the plan, but I definitely miscalculated how strong the vacuum of space really is.
"Woah, okay, FRIDAY, Gravity on," I spoke. The gravity on my suit was turned on, but was of little use. I screamed as my feet slid out from under me and threatened to get dragged away. The alien dude, uh, Ebony I think was his name, was getting swept out already, but grabbed my ankle on his way. I screamed yet again as I lost my grip on the bar I was holding. I hit his hand as hard as I could, which did make him let go, but that didn't help me much. Right as my feet touched the outer rim of the ship, in my last attempt to save myself, I screamed yet again. As soon as I lost hope, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist.
"Hey, gotcha," Peter spoke, hugging me tight to his chest. I sighed in relief as my dad sealed the hole. Once the vacuum of space wasn't threatening my life anymore, Peter set me down. Although, he still didn't let go of my wrist. He slowly slid his hand down into my palm and intertwined our fingers.
"Thank you," I said softly, almost afraid that if I spoke to loud I would jinx it.
"Hey, I promised to protect you anywhere when we started dating, that includes space. I love you," he smiled at me. I smiled back and lightly squeezed his hand.
"I love you, too."
.:*:.
"I'm Peter, by the way," he spoke and shook Strange's hand.
"Doctor Strange," the wizard responded with a light smile.
"Oh, we're using our made up name's, well then I am Spider-Man," Peter adjusted awkwardly. I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Hi, I'm (Y/n). Nice to finally meet you," I smiled politely and shook his hand.
"Finally?" he questioned.
"Oh, right, well, I do a lot of research on who could be a new recruit for the Avengers. Your name popped up on the list several times. I just never asked because you seemed like a Lone Wolf type of super hero," I responded with a laugh at my own joke. He chuckled.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, too, (Y/n)," he replied before going to talk with my dad.
"You just HAD to one-up me," Peter mocked, playfully hitting my shoulder. I giggled.
"It's kind of my thing."
*Time skip cause TBH I totally forgot what happens next so woop-dee-doo, let's get to it*
"AGH- Please don't put your eggs in me!" Peter screamed as he ran from the alien-girl.. thing. I chased after them, kicking the girl down.
"Thank you!" Peter yelled, still running away. I laughed, but then soon got tackled. The alien pinned me on my knees, putting her hands on my shoulders.
"Please don't kill me!" I spoke fearfully, noticing that we had all come to a stand-off. Dad had pinned one of there guys. Peter had a gun to his head.
"Don't shoot him! Please," I begged, Peter's eyes locked with mine the entire time. The other guy looked over to me.
"Well, I won't if you give me the right information. If not, I'll blow his brains out." the guy responded.
"If you do that, then this guy gets it, too," my dad spoke calmly, pointing towards the guy below his feet. My eyes widened and I struggled to get free. The girl moved her hands to my head, making me calm when I didn't want to be. I stared at Peter, unsure of what was to come.
"She is scared and.. angry," the girl behind me told the buff guy. I pushed the calmness to the side and became fearful again, struggling a little, but deciding it was no use.
"Where is Gamora?!" The guy with the gun yelled, pushing it a little closer to Peter's head. Peter winced.
"I'll do you one better, who is Gamora?!" My dad shouted back, almost as confused as I was. Why would they think we knew a Ga-
"I'll do you one better, why is Gamora!" the buff guy shouted, receiving confused glares from everyone.
"Wait- who are you guys?" the guy with the gun hesitated a bit, slightly releasing his grip on Peter.
"We're the Avengers, man," Peter spoke, fear trembling in his voice.
"So you're not working for Thanos?" he questioned again.
"Heck no!" I shouted, "We're fighting Thanos!"
"Oh, well that changes things."
All of us were released and I ran over to Peter.
"Are you okay, are you hurt-" he stopped me and grabbed my hands.
"I'm okay," he replied, "she didn't hurt you, did she?"
"No, no, I'm good," I smiled, then turning towards the group.
"So are they like, a thing?" the human stranger asked.
"Ya," my dad replied nonchalantly. Everyone nodded.
"Okay, can we learn names, cause.. this whole thing in my head is getting really confusing when I can only call you "alien girl" and "human stranger"?" I asked.
"Okay, for your information, I am half god-" I cut him off.
"Ha, sure you are, no one cares, what's your name," I declared, crossing my arms.
"Peter Quill, you may have heard of me as 'Star-'," I cut him off again.
"Okay, so Peter. That's not confusing, at all," I rolled my eyes and looked at my boyfriend.
"I'm Mantis," the alien girl spoke up. I smiled a bit.
"And I am Drax," the buff guy boomed.
"Yeah, I am definitely not going to remember that," Peter observed.
