So, I'm back. Hi. I feel awkward writing '(Y/n)' so I chose a name, just change it in your mind if it bothers you <3
The thought of meeting my soulmate always made me nervous. Everyone had there own way of meeting- some had timers, others had first words as tattoos, colorblind until meeting, deaf until meeting, mute until- well the list goes on.
I'm part of the unfortunate 18% that can feel their soulmates emotions.
Don't get me wrong, I was always proud of the strange feeling of his happiness when it came about- but along with that came the intense fear that pried me out of sleep during the night.
The fear only started a few months ago, before that he only ever felt happy. It was calming, always had been. But now I feel like I can't get any sleep at all.
"Please be okay," I mumbled while watching the sky. Adrenaline coursed through my torso for a good hour or so until it finally subsided.

"Hey MJ," I greeted as I sat next to her at our usual lunch table.
"Hey, July," she smiled lightly, "Did he keep you up again?"
"Yep," I nodded, "It's beginning to scare me. What if he's being abused?"
"Maybe he just has nightmares," MJ suggested, "You don't have to assume the worst- there's no way it's good for your health."
"Yeah, I know, I'm just worried," I responded before two boys took their seats on the opposite side of the table.
"Yeah, she always gets anxious," one of them whispered to his friend, "It makes my situation even worse, because then I feel bad and worried about her. Like I know she feels what I feel- And right now I feel like you're not listening to me."
"Sorry! Sorry," the friend apologized and brought his attention away from the girl he was looking at, "Keep going."
"Well, whatever. It doesn't matter anyways. I wanna meet her so bad, but the uh- internship might put her in danger."
"Peter, she's your soulmate. I'm sure she wants to meet you too and you can't just ignore every girl you meet-"
I stopped listening and turned to MJ, "Do you think I'll meet him soon?"
"Your soulmate or Peter?" MJ mumbled back with a chuckle.
"My soulmate, obviously," I sighed before glancing back at the boys- specifically the brunette.
"I don't know, July, kinda looks like you wanna meet Peter too," MJ laughed before turning to the boys, "You guys suck at whispering by the way."
Peters face went red as we made eye contact, "S-sorry."
My face went red with embarrassment and I looked away.
Embarrassment?
But why am I-
I widened my eyes and looked back up, the boy giving off the same reaction.
"Called it," MJ rolled her eyes and took another bite of food. Peter muttered something under his breath before standing up, throwing away his lunch, and walking out of the cafeteria. His friend looked at the exit as the door closed and sighed. He slid down closer to MJ and I.
