alright now y'all can't complain, love you 3000. Enjoy...

This chapter is dedicated to Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff. The role models many of us came to love. I will forever be changed, and they will never be forgotten. In my heart for infinity <3

I wasn't sure if my dad would be proud or disappointed. Black clothing crowded around the lake where I made some of my last memories with my father. Tears rolled down my cheeks as the bouquet floated away. Pepper stood next to me, and I held Morgan in my arms, letting her head rest on my shoulder. Peter held my free hand tightly, wearing puffy eyes himself. The group of Tony's family and friends turned to go back inside, but instead I set Morgan down and sat on the grass, listening to the sound of the water and trees.

"Do you want me to stay, or.." Peter rubbed my back softly, squatting next to me.

"Um, can I be alone for now? I feel like.. I feel like I need to say good bye," I wrung my hands, "I'll come find you inside when I'm ready."

Peter nodded in understanding and his footsteps walked up to the cabin.

"H-hey Dad," I started while the tears began to flow again, "I already miss you so much. I-I never got to say goodbye. I never got a last 'I love you'. We never got a last Stark late night dance party."

I laughed at the memory of him and I dancing to random songs in our fuzzy socks when I was a kid, "You kept me going for so long and now- I don't know what to do. Pepper's here and Morgan, and I know you'd want me to be there for them. And Peter, I mean you did this for him. But I feel.. I lost you. I won't see you again for- for a while. And no one can fill those shoes. But- But I'll be okay. I want you to rest in peace, without worrying about me. So.. I love you. So much. I know you and Aunt Nat can hear me so," I took in a deep breath, "Goodbye, Dad."

I stood from the water edge and made my way inside of my house, quickly finding Peter in the crowd. His arms were immediately around me, holding me close to him as I cried into his chest and he cried onto my shoulder.

"He really loved you, Pete," I finally spoke with a small smile, "He had a picture of you and him in the kitchen since we moved in."

"I loved him, too," he nodded, "It's okay, though. W-we're gonna be okay."

"We're gonna be okay," I confirmed and held his hand as I led us over to the couch. Pepper announced Tony had prepared a video for us to watch so the rest of the family found a spot as a hologram popped up.

"Dad," I whispered, feeling Peter hold my hand a little tighter. Dad began his speech addressing matters and people. I smiled fondly at certain moments, much like everyone else in the room.

I love you, 3000

Then he disappeared.

"And I'll visit in two weeks," I promised Peter as I hugged him, "Okay?"

"Yeah.. yeah," Peter nodded, "I love you."

"I love you, too," I replied, pecking him on the lips. I had to admit, it was strange seeing Peter again after 5 years and acting like we were only separated for a few hours- but I also had missed it. Morgan ran up to Peter and hugged one of his legs happily.

"Hey, Morgan!" Peter announced excitedly while crouching down to her level.

"Hi," she smiled shyly with a small wave, "Are you the boy Daddy always talked about?"

"Y-yeah," Peter swallowed sadly, "Yeah, I'm Peter."

"Cool- do you wanna see my room?" Morgan invited with a sudden excitement.

"Sure," Peter smiled and grabbed her hand as she led him down the hall, "Do you have any dolls?"

"Yeah! I have lots."

A smile made it's way onto my face, but only for a few moments. Within twenty minutes, everyone had left and said their goodbyes.

I trudged up the stairs so I could finally change into baggy clothing. Walking into my room, I immediately noticed something sitting on my bed. I furrowed my eyebrows and picked it up, twirling the ring like structure in my fingers.

A voicemail began to speak from the device, Dad's calming voice singing "You Are My Sunshine". I laughed as fresh tears formed.

"Hey, Sweetheart," he spoke, "I wanted to give you something else to remember me by, just to let you know I'm here. I love you so much- you're my first daughter and princess. I'm so so proud of you, (Y/n). Sorry I couldn't fulfill all of the promises we made, but I hope this ring can hold of the memories. You and Peter better keep my name going. You're gonna do great, sweetie. Love you always."

I covered my mouth with the hand that wasn't holding the ring and cried a little bit more.

"Always."
