"Peter Parker!" I shouted in awe as he shoved the last doughnut in his mouth.
"Wphat?" he tried to pronounce without spitting out pieces of chocolate.
"You did not just eat the LAST doughnut in the box," I laughed and stepped closer to him.
"Uhh.." he swallowed the last bit and ran from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and chased him into my bedroom.
"You brat!" I shouted teasingly.
"I'll buy you another one. I promise!" he urged, putting his hands up in surrender.
"Fine," I bounced onto my bed and stared at the white lights pinned around my room. Peter sat next to me and wrapped a fluffy (and heavy) blanket around us. I smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder. His fingers softly intertwined with mine as we sat with the quiet music still playing from my computer that I forgot to turn off. This was probably the only time I would ever thank my laziness.
"This is my favorite," I spoke in almost a whisper.
"Which part?" I could hear the grin in his question.
"You. Us. Having simple twinkle lights light up the room. The smell of vanilla coming from both my candle and your hair. Your cologne. It's- it's just my favorite. Like, if I had to live in one moment for the rest of my life- I'd want it to be this exact moment," I explained, playing with his fingers.
"Well then this is my favorite too," he agreed, making my heart flutter. I stared at the candle on my desk as the flame danced back and forth.
"I love you. I love you so much," he declared quietly with certainty. I smiled at the thought of someone loving me.
"I love you, too, Pete," I spoke as I closed my eyes. The quiet bliss was soon ruffled as Peter stood up. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as he dragged me up as well.
"What the heck, man. I thought we were having a moment," I shook my head sarcastically.
"Dance with me," Peter smiled and grabbed my waist to pull me closer. He began to sway to the beat of whatever song was playing off of my Spotify account. I was too wrapped up in the moment to listen intently.
"You know I can't dance for the life of me," I hesitantly muttered.
"Don't worry. I'll teach you," Peter promised as he guided my feet and body to the rhythm.
"This is so cliche-" I began before Peter cut me off.
"Just enjoy it, coward," he looked down at me. He leaned in towards me and I followed, quickly letting our lips meet. I wrapped my arms around his neck and let it last as long as I could before the burning in my lungs told me I needed to breathe. I pulled away, knowing there was a blush on my face.
This wasn't our first kiss, but I don't think I'll ever get used to it. He had the same adorable tint to his cheeks, which only made my blushing worse.
"I want this to be my forever," he voiced.
"I'd like that."
