Okay I'm so sorry this isn't another update but things are hectic over here and I need some more prayer...
Drunk driving is such a serious issue that isn't addressed enough. Never drive under the influence- it takes a risk that is unbelievably high.
My friend, volleyball team captain, worship team leader, and fellow student for the past three years was hit by a drunk driver at 6:20 last night (June 1). Her and her two friends were driving home from a graduation party when another car filled with four drunk people (3 of which were drinking illegally as they were under-aged) smashed into them and caused my friends to roll 150 feet down a steep hill.
She was killed on impact.
The other two in the car went into surgery last night and are going to be okay, but nobody can move past the life lost. She was an aspiring musician, softball player, volleyball player, and had a bright future ahead of her- but that was all ripped away due to a man's careless, reckless, awful decision.
Because of him, my friend will never get married, have children, get a job, graduate high school, or become the singer she so badly wanted to be. Because of him, a mother lost her only child. Because of him, a best friend is mourning. Because of him, my friend died.
Please NEVER drink and drive. Call an Uber, or even a friend to pick you up. It's not that difficult and it's better than the risk you would have taken.
My church and school are mourning and I ask simply for prayers of comfort in this difficult time.
Rest in Peace, Beautiful Girl.
Show those angels your beautiful voice and contagious laugh.
You will be dearly missed.
I can't wait until the day I get to see you again in heaven.
