Lilo's POV

"Stitch, hurry up!" I called Tayten, as the boy's signaled to me that the van had arrived. I watched the grey- haired girl lock the apartment door and scuttle down the steps quickly. Gunther was tied to her belt loop by a piece of red ribbon, bouncing up and down as she hurried.  Occasionally I called Tayten Stitch. To her it was funny because my name is Lilo. She's the only one who thinks it's funny. She literally named herself that.

It was only a matter of seconds before everyone was settled in the van and the doors were pulled shut. I stared at the camera attached to the seat in front of mine and waved. The seating arrangements in the van tonight were odd. Usually the boys got in first and sat together in the back, but tonight they both sat on the left hand side- one in the front and one in the back. I was stuck in the back with Jun. While Tayten seemed to find ways to communicate with Minghao without needing words, I wasn't so lucky.

I could see out of the very corners of my vision he was watching me make faces at the camera. Oddly enough I could also see him smiling. I have to admit, he has a really cute smile. He reminds me a lot of myself if I'm honest. I mean we're both awkward, and adorable. Other than that nothing else is important.... kidding... well.... kinda.

Talking to Tayten (or the camera) I said, "would it be cheating to learn sign language?" However, Tayten was so submerged in her weird... alien language of hand gestures, weird faces and partial English/ Chinese (she pretended not to know) that she didn't even hear me. Instead Jun actually made an effort to reply.

"That's the hand thing right?" He asked shyly.

I covered my mouth as I chuckled to myself before replying, "yes  it is."

He formed an 'o' with his mouth before saying, "I think that is cheating." He said it so matter of factually that I was almost worried that he didn't get it was a joke.

Giggling again I said, "I'm joking."

For a moment the boy's expression was blank before he said, "yes." He then made a face at the camera in front of his seat, but I didn't quite catch the expression.

"We're here. Everyone out." The director called from the passenger seat.
