Tayten's POV

Lilo and Jun strolled into the hair salon both very close. Lately I hadn't been able to shake this feeling of complete and utter sorrow. I felt like I was drowning sometimes. Usually I would tell Lilo, or even Jamie if we'd been home. But Lilo wasn't herself right now. She was out of her mind trying to get used to living in a tiny apartment in China with fourteen people. I could see her eyes start quivering every time we entered the apartment. She can't take care of herself right now, so I'd be an awful person to expect her to take care of me.

"You good?" I heard Minghao's voice pierce my subconscious. I looked over at him, startled. He grabbed my wrist quickly, bringing it into my view, "look at how tense your muscles are, not to mention this vein. How the hell does it even get to pop out that far?"

I smiled, putting a hand over his to pull his hand away from my face. "I'm fine. It's just cold." I lied.

He frowned, before beginning to wiggle out of his beige hoodie. "Wear this. I was getting hot anyways."

I opened my mouth to deny politely, but he cut me off, shoving the soft fabric in my face. "Tayten, just..." he gestured to his hoodie again, "okay?"

I chuckled nodding my head slowly, "okay, okay."

Not after long the two boys went back to have their hair washed before coloring it. Basically Minghao was getting a darker Jun's hair and Jun was getting a lighter version of Minghao's hair. It was kinda funny actually.

"So where were you?" I asked Lilo.

She fought back the urge to smile, "just out and about."

I raised an eyebrow, "all night long?"

"Of course." Lilo replied casually. She eyed me slyly. "Are you still playing both fields?"

I chuckled, "what do you even mean?"

Lilo raised an eyebrow, "'oh Joshy! Joshy this Joshy that.' But then in swoops Tayten two point oh, 'Minghao! Let me wear your jacket Minghao, I'm soooo cold.'" She teased me.

We both broke out laughing, I could see the boys eyeing us from their salon chairs. They chuckled to one another, I wonder what they're talking about. They seem so much more innocent than Lilo and I's friendship. We've been by each other through thick and thin. We've seen the ugliest sides of each other's lives and still love each other like sisters. I sometimes wonder where we'd both be right now without each other.

Right now I can't help but think where I'd be without all these people in my life. While Lilo saw fourteen roommates as terrifying, I saw it as a safety net, to keep even the darkest corners of me....... in line.

AN: Ace and I decided on an upload schedule  it'll be Monday's, Wednesday's and Fridays. However, we did a crap ton of writing last night so I'm uploading again today and maybe tomorrow. But starting next week it'll be a normal upload schedule.... probably... hopefully..... for the most part...? Yeah. Lol
