Tayten's POV

My first New Year's Eve ...without Lilo. Well, technically my first New Year's eve without Lilo in years. Ever since we met in Chinese class we grew so close, a bit too close to the point I had my own drawer full of clothes in her room.

It was...interesting, mostly due to the fact I was on a plane...with Minghao asleep on my should. Minghao pleaded and begged to go home with me as I was finally visiting my family, and as my boyfriend, he wanted to come with. So I had to say yes.

Right now I just feel odd, I mean it literally just hit me that I'm actually dating a Korean Idol with over millions of fans, just cause I was on a show with him. I mean shoot, if you asked me how I felt about Minghao in the beginning, I would've said he's cute but I see no future with him. I would've thought he wouldn't really care for me, wouldn't find any benefit of being with me.

But here we are, 5:52 pm on a plane back to Atlanta Georgia to see my pops and sister for New Year's Eve. Meanwhile, my best friend and her boyfriend are probably cuddling up by the fire as the New Year has hit a while ago. To think of it, does that mean I have to kiss Minghao in front of my family?

Last time we talked, Joshua introduced himself as my husband, WAIT THAT WAS MONTHS AGO!

I haven't talked to my dad since Joshten was a fake real thing. Wow, I'm horrible.

Wait my dad doesn't even know how to speak Chinese and Minghao sucks at speaking English. Wow, I'm screwed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, as we start our descent..." I began to block out what the flight attendant was saying, as I begin to look out the window at the state I was born in. The state that had so many memories good and bad.

I felt the weight lift off my shoulder as Minghao woke up with the cutest bed head.

"Morning sleeping beauty." I smiled looking at the boy who looked so confused.

"Are we finally landing?" He yawned.

"Yup, it's time to see my pops." I beamed with joy as I grabbed all my belongings and waited to be ushered out; since a small camera crew came with me because Language Barrier was still booming. All of the fans loved us with the boys and even more, people were accepting due to pity from the incident. But either way, if we were accepted for being with the boys, then we are okay.

"Pops!" I squealed as I jumped into the old man's arms.

"Tayleen sweetie!" My dad's humble voiced crackled as I could feel a small amount of water hit my shoulders. "I haven't seen you since I moved honey, why didn't you visit." He mumbled into my coat.

"You know why pops," I sighed as I broke the hug. "Reece is not my type, I was not gonna drop my career for a guy I didn't even know."

"Are you crazy? You knew Reece, he was the first person to greet us when we moved to Chicago and didn't want to say goodbye to us when we wanted to move back to Atlanta. So he went with us.... unlike you."

"I knew he existed but I didn't know him, all he wanted to know was about me. Never him because god forbid your plan that I had to uncover at only eighteen, dad, eighteen." I was finally on the verge of tears from rage, something my dad could only do. "You know what let's not talk about this I came here with MY boyfriend to spend time with my family."

"Boyfriend? What boyfriend? You never mentioned a boyfriend!" He yelled.

"I never mention anything to you because you always don't care about what I have planned anyway." I raised my voice at him and walked away.

"What just happened? Are you alright?" He grabbed my face looking deep into my eyes.

"Argument over something stupid, but let's go check into our hotel room. We will see him later, he just wanted to make sure I got a safe ride home." I gave him the biggest forced smile ever and began to drag the tall Chinese boy into the cab.
