Minghao's POV
Messed it up.
It was all messed up. Jun and Lilo had nearly intersected, then one bad article drove them in completely opposite directions. Now Lilo was convinced Jun was a no good liar. And Jun was convinced that DK had stolen his precious Lilo. But both of them were wrong and they couldn't see it.
Lilo and I tried. Time and time again we tried. But reason was beyond the two. Lilo was manically depressed, it was so obvious how much she cared. But DK only made it worse by trying to help her, making it seem more and more like he was her replacement for Jun. The members would wake up sometimes in the middle of the night and find her outside of Jun and I's door. Just lying there on the floor, curled up in a ball longing for him to fix it all.
But it was just as bad on this side of the door. Jun didn't sleep at all. He just tossed and turned. Like he'd forgotten how to sleep without the small pale girl in his arms. Tayten and I had looked into getting the article taken down. But it was so popular that there was no slaying the beast.
After maybe a month though, it began to die down. After talking about things on vlive at least Carats were on our side that Tayten and Jun hardly spoke off camera. There's no way they could date. We added that Tayten had a boyfriend back home too, just to help ease the wound. But still we couldn't get Lilo and Jun to talk. If he was in the kitchen she was fine not eating. If she was outside he was okay dwelling in his room.
It was sickening to watch. Everyone felt divided. Lilo said time and time again that we shouldn't feel that way. "If it helps. Everyone take his side, I can rough it alone." She'd told us.
Falling apart. Everything was falling apart.
"Tayten." I said as we sat outside on the curb.
"Yeah," she replied. I could hear the strain in her voice. The "break up" was taking a toll on us all.
"Is Lilo eating?" I wondered.
Tayten shook her head, "she won't even take the vitamins."
"That's really bad." I murmured.
Tayten nodded her head, "no shit."
"How come she hasn't passed out yet?" I wondered aloud.
Tayten nodded her head, "I've been sneaking them into her drinks."
I nodded my head slowly, smiling to myself. "Smart." Tayten's brilliant. Before this had happened between Lilo and Jun, I used to believe there was a chance for Tayten and I to be like them.... but now, I was back at square one believing my "fame" would destroy any relationship I held close to my heart. After seeing the pain one rumor had caused I had concluded that Tayten didn't deserve this in her lifetime. That it would be my burden to shoulder, and mine alone. That's when I had an idea. "Okay, Tayten, this will sound awful. But I think I know how to fix this."
Tayten perked up instantly. "What's the plan?"
"How bad is it when Lilo doesn't take the vitamins?" I asked her.
Tayten shrugged, "she passes out for a few hours, wakes up a bit dizzy and weak. But it doesn't really hurt her."
I nodded my head, "that's oddly perfect."
"So...?"
"Okay, don't hate me for this... but it'll work."
