Lilo's POV
He just stood there awkwardly like a twig man. Honestly what was I expecting? Life isn't a television series.... even though we're kinda filming one... but still!
I couldn't deny one fact however... I was hungry. And I could small from here that the bag in his hand contained danishes and the tea was undeniably for me. Sighing I pointed to the floor. "Sit." I muttered. The boy just nodded his head and quickly sat down. "Tayten gave you no choice.. didn't she?"
"Kind of." Jun replied hesitantly.
I nodded my head, "figures, leave the food and go. Tell the director I'm sick today and won't be on camera." I shooed him away with my hands. He placed the contents down on the floor and made to stand up but stopped. Sitting back down Jun asked.
"Why is it such a big deal?"
I crossed my arms defensively as I backed towards the nightstand behind me. "It just is, okay?" I didn't want to think about it, wouldn't let myself think about it.
"Did something happen?" He just wasn't going to let me sulk in peace.
I rolled my eyes, "of course stuff happened. My brother and I just don't talk much anymore. My parents chose him over me and that's that."
"So you're jealous because he's the golden kid." Jun stated, as if he knew the whole story.
I chuckled, "I have nothing to be jealous of, he's a moron. Even then it doesn't matter because he wasn't the golden kid I was. He was the troublesome kid that got all the attention."
Jun did that thing he does when he connects the dots. The little 'o' shape with his mouth, both eyebrows raised before saying, "I see, I see. So the only reason you act so cool and stuff is because you want us all to notice. But then you're also so quiet and invisible."
I sighed, "that last part made you sound like the entirety of my family." I rolled my eyes again, as the white haired boy scooted closer.
"I'm sorry." He murmured.
I bit down on my smile, I wouldn't let him fix things so easily. That's stupid. I'm mad or sad or whatever. And that's the plan, I've made it, I will stick to it. "It's fine, don't apologize." I stretched my fingers out like they were retractable claws emerging from my sweater paws. "I'm sorry I'm so tough on all of you. I don't mean to be when I am... I just- I don't even know why I do it." I rested my elbow on my knee and my cheek on my palm. "I'm like an M&M." I could tell by the look on Jun's face he was confused, and it was funny. I had to choke back on the urge to laugh, as he titled his head to the side like a puppy trying to learn a command. "I have a really soft and tasteless outer shell, right? But then with some time you realize there's a sweet inside."
He nodded his head, making his 'I understand' face again. "I already knew that though." He replied smugly. "It's so obvious. Your attitude is clearly all show. I know a lot of idols like that."
I chuckled, "glad to know I'm predictable..."
"Okay I didn't mean it like that!" Jun replied, flustered. Still we ended up laughing lightly.
Transitioning I walked my hand across the floor and rand a finger over the silver ring on his finger. "What's this? I noticed both Minghao and you have one."
He looked down at it lovingly before looking back at me and smiling. Jun tapped my nose lightly before saying, "that's for another time, okay? Eat up so we can go film."
I chuckled to myself, "okay, okay. Hey! Don't tease us so much today!"
Jun shrugged, "I'm acting it has to be believable."
"Believable that you're stingy and mean?" I retorted.
Jun got up and headed for the door, "I'm neither. I'm just beautiful. Case closed."
