Lilo's POV
"UNO!" Dino yelled as he threw a green three into the deck.
"NO! I CANT LOSE TO DINO AGAIN!" Hoshi punched Wonwoo's arm.
"Yah! Why are you punching me? It's not my fault you basically ate up the whole deck."
The boys (Dino, Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Woozi) and I were playing uno as the others attempted to cook New Year's dinner?
"Eat four Hoshi!" Woozi threw a four plus in the deck. "I change the color to yellow." The game paused as Wonwoo once again took three years as he planned on which card to play. Meanwhile, Hoshi cried as he ate more of the deck.
"Eat two Lilo." He threw in a plus two card. Perfect.
"Sorry but no, uno, eat four Dino." I threw in another plus card and smirked as the boys were tired of Dino and I winning.
"This game is rigged." Hoshi cried as he threw in all his blue card into the pile. "I quit."
The room erupted into laughter as we laughed at Hoshi's sad pile of cards. "I'm about as blue as the cards."
"Actually the cards are black, red, yellow, white, and blue." Jeonghan butted in.
"And actually we don't care." Dino replied back as he took everyone's card from their hand.
"Today I lost a friend." Jeonghan began to fake cry.
"The Year hasn't even started and Dino is already roasting the hyungs. I live for it." Seungkwan laughed.
"Seungkwan sweetie," I patted his back. "you are a hyung too." Everyone laughed as everyone minus a few were finally gathered in the kitchen, but I made my way outside to find Seungcheol, Mingyu, DK, and Jun grilling away.
"Hey, baby." As I was about to peck Jun's cheek, he pulls up his mask and looks away.
"Hey." He mumbled as he began to grab more of the meat.
"Is it almost ready? Wouldn't want you to get too cold." I asked sweetly confused about his mood.
"Almost done, if you looked over there you would've seen it." He sighed. "You go inside, I'll be there in a bit." He told me not even looking up and just waved his hand at me, gesturing to leave.
I felt hurt, but it got worse as I remember how nice and sweet the boy is to me. How humble he always had been. He was too nice and shy to just...rudely say that. It felt colder outside as I walked away and even colder as the three other boys looked at me in confusion. They felt it too... felt how cold he seemed towards me.
"Hey, Lilo wait up!" I paused as I saw DK run up the stairs and link arms with me. "He's being a dick for no reason, he's been like that since he woke up, I don't know why. But he shouldn't treat you bad." He explained as he gave me a warm smile as he walked me into the bright kitchen.
"Seungkwan your like four stop touching the wine!"
"Yes, mom!" Seungkwan giggled away as he ran away with a bottle of wine as Hoshi joined him.
"Kids these days," Joshua sighed. "They need to drink water." He said as he drank water from a wine glass. "Oh hey Lilo, what are you doing here, I would've thought you would be lovey-dovey with Jun."
I didn't know if it was how Jun had spoken to me or something else but I began to realize everyone's tone. Joshua's was sweet and mellow to the point it eased my pain a bit.
"Long story." I sighed.
"Actually it was pretty short since how little he spoke." DK corrected me.
"You're not helping DK." I elbowed the boy. "Let's just say Jun, was colder than winter." I told Joshua in English.
"You wanna talk about it or?" He asked cautiously as he didn't want to impose as per usual.
"Can I?"
"Of course you can talk to me about it." He beamed.
"Thanks, Josh." I smiled already feeling better.
