Not too often did Michael feel bad about anything he did. Matter of fact he never did feel bad for anything he did or said to anyone. He'd just shrug his feelings off and keep it moving like nothing ever happened but at this moment he couldn't ignore the guilty feeling he had in the pit of his stomach and in the back of his head. He felt responsible for Simone getting suspend and now Semaj was to the side of him worried about what was going to happen for the next couple of school days until Simone could return.

"I just don't know what I'm going to do or how I'm going to do it. I mean, do they havee daycares here that will take eleven year olds in on my budget? I would ask my aunts but they have smaller kids of their own that they have to worry about and I know they'll just neglect Simone and that's not what I want. I just--"

"I'll watch her" Michael blurts out before completely thinking it over.

Oh well it's out there now. Jus gotta go wit it. Michael licks his lips as Semaj looks over at him with a shocked look on her face and he nods to reassure her. He didn't do anything for anyone ever, his loyalty was to himself and to his boys; well when they were around but now he had loyalty to Semaj.

"You would watch her?" Semaj asks curiously pointing at him. She need confirmation. She needed clarification.

"I guess I influenced tha fight an you bailed me outta jail not too long ago and since you won't take a cash paymet i can jus watch Simone she ain't that hard to watch is she?" Michael asks cocking an eyebrow and Semaj shakes her head.

"No..." she says slowly "but it's a big responsibility. You don't--"

"I have a little sister so I think I know what I needa do Semaj. Do you want me to or nah is the question that needs to be answered." Michael says hoping down from the picnic bench.

"Yes, sure" Semaj says nodding her head as she feels like a huge weight was just lifted off her shoulders.

"I can come to your house around eight then an drop you off at school and then ima just take Simone back to my place until you get out. If that's coo withcu?" Michael asks to make sure and Semaj nods.

The only thing Semaj was worried about is what did Michael do during the day while she was in school? Was he out doing illegal things or did he only do that around the night time when business was really booming or was he an all day type of guy? Semaj was curious about it all and as they say curiousity killed the cat.

"What exactly do you do during the school hours?" Semaj aks not really wanting to but she had be cautious.

"I sleep" he answers honestly. "An if you thinkin im doin all that drug stuff durin the day you can forget that because I don't. I do my business at night."

"Not lately have you?" Semaj asks frowning, knowing that right now Michael was on watch.

"Hell nah" Michael replies shaking his head. "I'm trying to stay outta trouble not get into it. Look Semaj if you worried about Simone not bein taken care of then stop right now cuz I will. I ain't gon put her in harms way or nothin'. She'll be cool. Just do whatchu gotta do."

In a way Semaj was grateful to have Michael around. Sure he was different, way different, from the people she was used to being around but he was a good different for her. It was a change from the personalities she was used to seeing and dealing with. He was honest, real, and straight forward ninety-nine percent of the time which is what Semaj needed in her life. She was tired of sugarcoated things and fake smiles. She needed something real and that's what Michael often gave her.

"I know she'll be okay." Semaj say getting off the bench. "And thank you."

"It's the least I can do" Michael mumbles and then nods his head towards his car hinting that he was ready to go and Semaj nods as they walk side by side to his car.
