Semaj had been asleep off and on throughout the day. Before she had went to Michael's last night she had walked around for about an hour with no coat on in the winter weather which was a bad idea because now she was sick. Simone had been helping her out and catering to her but Semaj was so independent that she mostly wanted to do this on her on but what she wanted to do most was going over to Michael's house to thank him. She wish she had his number to call. She didn't want a conversation, just to say she appreciated what he did last night.
"Here's your chicken noodle soup Majie" Simone says walking in the room with a tray in her hand.
It was getting close to one in the afternoon and Simone had decided to fix her sister something to eat since she didn't eat her food from in the morning. I guess when you're as sick as Semaj was holding down something heavy like grits, eggs, and bacon was too much.
"Thanks Simone." Semaj says smiling accepting the tray.
"You're welcome." Simone climbs on the bed getting under her older sister as Semaj begins to devour the soup.
"Do you by any chance have Michael's number?" Semaj asks hopefully.
"No." Simone says shaking her head. "Why? You gonna call and ask him out, aren't ya?"
Semaj immediately shakes her head. "I was going to call and tell him thank you for last night. Where would you get an idea like that Simone?"
"I was just--nothing." Simone says sighing. "I don't have his number. Call Kearston or Lina."
"No. They're going to make it a big deal and think that I like him or that we're with each other. They always tease me every time he's mentioned. They teased me when I told them he was the one that brought me the phone. They say I'm the only girl he's ever been this nice too; that isn't a little kid." Semaj eats some more of her soup and then nibbles on a cracker.
"But you think he's cute don't you?"
"He's attractive....yes."
"So you and him should date."
"You have much to learn, Mo." Semaj says shaking her head. "Just because I think he's cute doesn't mean that him and I should date. He just has an attractive face that I just so happy like. It's not going to go any farther than that because-- well we wouldn't make it that far. He doesn't even care for me like that anyway. I'm annoying to him." Semaj explains shrugging and Simone sighs.
"It was worth a shot." She mumbles before grabbing the remote to turn on the tv.

Michael was pushing the nasty food around on his plate before pushing it away all together. He'd rather die than to eat the food that they dared to feed him. He wasn't even worried about eating right now. He was just worried about getting his bail paid and getting the hell out of here. They only had him arrested for drug trafficking. So in thirty days he would have to face a judge for his sentence. Until then he was to remain in the New Orleans and the state of Lousiana. On top of that he would be set up with a parol officer which he would have to visit once a week for the next four weeks until his sentence.
"Can I have my phone call now?!" Michael yells. "Damn."
"Let's go Jackson." Officer Perry says walking down to Michael's cell.
"I'm free?" Michael asks standing up.
"No but you can have your one phone call now." Perry says unlocking Michael's cell sliding the bars back and Michael makes his way out where he is escorted to the phone.
"What's the time?" Michael asks picking up the phone.
"Ten till two." Perry says looking down at his watch.
