"Michael Jackson?" Michael hears the guard and he quickly stands up from the bench, running his fingers through his hair.
"You're free to go," the guard says unlocking the cell door and pushing it and Michael wastes no time leaving out. He practically ran out. He felt limited when he was behind bars, and it was true, he was and he hated the feeling.
He was escorted to get his things and then they buzzed him out of the door where he met the face of three women with their arms folded. He already knew that calling LaToya would result in Rebbie and Katherine coming along too. He was surprised that Janet was here to slap him upside his head too, but it must've been a reason why she didn't tag along. He knew he'd be hearing how he needed to get his life together from her too.
"Ima give you the money back mama," Michael mumbles throwing on his leather jacket and placing his hat on his head.
"Michael I'm not nearly as worried about any money that I put out right now. I thought you said you were done getting arrested, and here comes LaToya telling me that you needed me to bail you out! Aren't you tired of cuffs being put on your wrist?!" He could see the disappointment in her eyes and it killed him a little bit, but it wasn't like he was here for his own actions. This was all because of Bigs and his idiotic choices, Michael just so happened got wrapped in them. "When will you learn, son? Huh?" Katherine shakes her head before turning around and making her way towards the door.
LaToya and Rebbie both shake their heads at their brother before following behind Katherine. The whole ride to his mother's house Michael felt like he was getting judged and shamed by the women in the car. Neither Rebbie nor LaToya said anything to him and Katherine was so disappointed that she couldn't even say anything else. He knew that it wasn't the end of a long lecture but he still had Tasha to deal with, and Semaj. He shakes his head thinking about what she would say when she found out. Now what she thought about him after she finds out was sure to kill him. He was all for her opinion about anything and he already knew once she heard about him getting arrested then she would be angry.
He was close to thinking about lying but then that would put him in deeper water and it was bad enough that right now he couldn't swim with the depth he was already in.
"LaToya I needa use yo charger," Michael mumbles before they get out of the car.
"For what?" LaToya whips around, frowning as they walk up the path.
"To eat it..." He replies sarcastically, "what the fuck else am I 'posed to use it for?" He mumbles through clenched teeth and she rolls her eyes.
"Whatever." Once they're inside and LaToya brings her charger Michael plugs up his phone waiting for it to boot up. In the mist of that Rebbie walks in the kitchen where he was and takes a seat at the counter right across from him.
"You bouta tell me how you disappointed too? The reason I was in jail wasn't my damn fault." Michael mumbles shaking his head. "It was my boys."
"Ya boys huh?" Rebbie mimics him and Michael sighs. "Michael, your boys have been getting you in trouble since you were sixteen years old. You always flying through hoops for them, but do they do the same for you?"
"We got each otha's back Rebbie, a'ight?"
"Michael you've always had their backs more than they've had yours. I'm not saying that they won't fly through hoops for you, but you're willing to break your back for them to stick to this loyalty thing you have, but I promise you it isn't the same for them."
"Rebbie it ain't even that deep," Michael sighs shaking his head.
"It is that deep Michael when my mother starts stressing. Stop hanging with them Michael, do you hear me? I'm tired of mother calling me worrying her head about you. Half the time you don't even do nothing wrong and she still calls to tell me how worried she is. You barely come by and you don't live more than thirty minutes away! You put stress on her Michael, do you know that? You put more stress on her than her other eight kids and that says a lot." Rebbie folds her arms and Michael runs his hand over his face in frustration.
