"Yea, Semaj. I like you." Michael admits knowing that there was no way in hell he'd be able to get out of this one like he rudely swiveled his way out of the first kiss.
"How long have you liked me?" Semaj presses feeling confident.
"Whatchu needa know all of that for?" Michaela asks cocking an eyebrow.
"I'm curious to know how long you've liked me and kept it from me."
"Since the first time I saw you, a'ight?" Michael admits sighing.
"Why did it take so long to admit it?"
"Do it look like ima relationship typa guy, Semaj?"
"Of course you don't and that's what you want people to believe but under that rock hard exterior you have there is the sweetest guy trying to escape. You just have him locked up so he can't and it's because of Lonnie. It's obvious." Semaj says shrugging and at the sound of Lonnie's name he glares at her.
"You see? Thats why I ain't wanna tell you nothin' cuz then you get all psychological on me an' shit." Michael says sighing.
"I'm sorry but I just wanted to be honest." Semaj says honestly and shrugs her shoulders before looking down at the ground and Michael can't help but stare at her.
He wasn't going to admit, at least not that this moment, that Semaj was right. He had kept his good and vulnerable side locked away because Lonnie had fucked up his head in more ways than one but he felt like he wanted to give his all to Semaj but was unsure of her acceptance. Feeling sentimental at the moment Michael lifts her head from looking at the ground.
"Now I admitted that I like you so whats your confession?" Michael asks cocking an eyebrow.
"It's obvious that I like you. Even though I've been telling Simone that I didn't. It was just because I didn't want to face rejection. Especially not from you, that's all." She shrugs again. "Where does it go from here? Do we keep life how it's going? Does anything change?"
Michael cocks an eyebrow. "Have you eva been inna relationship?"
Semaj shakes her head no. "I've had guys ask me out and I'd accept but then I'd have to cancel on them because I needed to watch Simone or do something for Simone. After a while it had got around that I was incapable of dating anyway and that I'd just blow them off so after a wall I just cut off dating all together. I've never been on a date and... and you were my first kiss." Semaj admits shamefully.
Michael gets a big head a little and feels honored but then bad because he kissed her and then took it back. Girls first kisses were supposed to be memorable and he had made that a memorable moment for her alright. One that she would remember and want to slap him repeatedly for.
