I was on my way home and couldn't wait to hear from Samuel. It really had been a while.

I was really tired and tomorrow was still a day of tidying up. I took a shower and got ready for bed but to my surprise, he had not contacted me.

I let down a frown, disappointed.

"Typical. I knew it." I said to myself.
So I decided to call Justin and tell him my drama.

"Hello." Justin picked up.
"Justin? Was Sam always like this? Or has he changed?"
"How do you mean?"
"Well. He hasn't called me and he said we'd keep in touch."
"I would assume he's busy, chill."
"No. He was just lying to me. It's fine. Thanks for your time."
"Whoa whoa relax. Well then suit yourself but I mean he could be busy."
"Well, it's too late now. I guess I will see you tomorrow!?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Okay, bye."

Well, it was anyway time for me to sleep. I put my phone beside the bed and snuggled into my warm blankets.

I was woken by a buzz on my phone. When I checked, it was Samuel! My tummy turned around!

We texted the whole night through but somehow he fell asleep. It didn't matter as long as I got my text. I was looking forward to seeing him the next day!

I woke up early the next morning feeling ready for today. I didn't really dress up but I put a bit of effort into my make up.

When I arrived at the party venue, I didn't see his car. My heart sank. I knew he would pull through regardless but I was dying to see him.

The guys were looking for him but had no luck in finding him, so they asked me to call his phone.

He answered in a heartbeat.

"Hey, wassup."
"Just wondering if you're on your way?"
"Don't worry. I was just taking a shower. I'm done now, heading right up." he chuckled.
"Okay, see you now."

I hung up.

"He's on his way, guys relax."
"It's amazing how quickly he answered your phone call." Justin smirked.
"Is there something you know which I don't know, Justin?" I asked.
"Nothing. I was just saying."

We started tidying up and in a matter of minutes he arrived. My goodness, he looked like a dream. He was so attractive. His tall built body and his awkward sexy walk. He was walking right up to me.

"Hey, look at you."  he said.
"Hi. How are you?" I smiled.
"I'm good. I'm good. You okay?"
"I'm fine. You're a bit late today, the guys were looking for you."
"Oh, you know me and time."
"Yeah right" I chuckled. "You fell asleep last night." I continued.
"Haha yes. I suck at texting at times but it won't happen again."

I stared at him with a smile on my face. I snapped out of it when the rest of the mates asked us to really put effort into clearing up.

I disappeared to the bathroom. I really needed to use it. My phone buzzed and I checked to see who it was. I was surprised anyone would be looking for me at this time of the day.

When I checked, it was Sam texting to ask where I was. I texted back that I was in the bathroom. Seconds later I heard a knock outside the door.

"You want to come in?" my voice echoed.
"Haha, heavens no."
"What's changed? You used to come in anyway." I echoed.
"I was a kid. It was appropriate back then." he laughed.
"Oh well, suit yourself." I flushed the toilet.

After washing my hands, I opened the door and walked out.
I looked at him with a look that asked why he was looking for me.

"So...what are you doing this afternoon?" he asked.
"Oh, nothing. You?"
"Same. Would you mind if we went out for a milkshake?"
"Sure why not, it's been a while." I smiled.

He was asking me on a short date, I could melt!

"So after we clean up?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"Cool, let's get busy."

We continued to clean up while having fun. When it was all done and dusted, some friends left. Others decided it would be a good idea to stay and play games.

"Are you guys serious right now?" I asked.
"Yeah, why? Aren't you joining us?" Justin asked.
"Well, we have plans...Sam and I." I said.
"Don't worry I will be back. Won't be long." Sam told the guys.

So basically our date wasn't going to be too long judging by him wanting to be back. It didn't matter as long as I was with him.

We walked to his car and I put my jacket in the backseat. It felt so good being finally alone with him in the car. He drove down to Dan's. I love the restaurant, I'm just not a regular there. He parked and we walked out of the car.

We got into the restaurant, took a seat and ordered milkshakes. The way he was looking at me had me feeling some type of way.

"So..." he said.
"So...?"
"We're here now..."
"Haha and..." I chuckled.
"You're beautiful Courtney."
"Thanks, Sam...uhm...Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"I want to ask you something...and be honest."
"Okay?"
"Do you perhaps maybe kind of like me?" I blushed and looked down after asking him.

He lifted my chin up with his fingers, looked into my eyes, came closer to my face and kissed me. I couldn't help myself, I was so involved in that kiss. It felt so good. It felt beautiful. I had not been kissed like this in such a long time. When we finally stopped and stared into each other's eyes, I knew what he meant."

"Yes. I like you."
"Oh my goodness." I blushed.
"How do you feel about me? he asked.
"I like you too. Wow..."

There was a moment of silence as I looked down at my milkshake.

"So...what do we do now? Where do we take this?" I asked him.
He kept quite and it made me nervous.
"I mean you don't have to date me. If you really just want to hang, you can tell me."
"I want to be with you." he said.
"So should we do this?" I asked.
"We should." he smiled at me.

Nothing felt better than what I was feeling at the moment! We finished up our milkshakes and walked back hand in hand to the car.
When we got into the car, he turned on his favourite song by Sean.

"You love this? Oh my goodness, it's such a cool song!"
"Yeah, I love it, come take my hand."
We swayed in the car with my hand in his. This was his song. It was our song.
