It was another day at work. There was a knock on my office door. It was James.
"Hey stranger." he kissed me.
"What are you doing here?" I smiled.
"I brought you some flowers. Thought you might like them."
"I love them, James! They are beautiful." I couldn't help it but have a big smile on my face.Laura walked passed my office and winked as to say "yes girl!"
"I'm not staying long. I just wanted to wish you a good day."
"You could have done it over the phone" I giggled.
"No. It doesn't matter. This felt better." he held me in his arms.
"Heard from Lizelle and her boyfriend today?" he whispered.
"Not one bit. She probably went back to her miserable husband." we chuckled when there was a knock on the door.It was White. We jumped at the sight of him.
"White...what a surprise."
"I came to check on how you guys were since vacation."
"We are great. We are good, man. How is your girlfriend and baby coming along?"
"They are fine. She's just exhausted from the time off."
"She should be." I chuckled. "Since you guys are here, coffee?" I asked.
"Well, I was leaving but okay." said James.
I made them some coffee and we sat down to talk about the fun we had.White's phone beeped.
"Excuse me. I have to take this."
James and I looked at each other.
"Hey." he disappeared.
"I wonder if it's Lizelle."
"Could be." James said.We drank our coffee in silence and he returned to us.
"Sorry. It was Lizelle."
"Oh, what did she want?" I turned to see if James was looking at me."Uh. Nothing major. Pregnancy issues and hormones."
"Oh okay well good luck with that."Later that evening, James and I were at my house over some wine. Mitchell had already gone to bed.
My parents were fast asleep, so we had the lounge to ourselves.
Although deeply tempted to make love, we didn't. I wasn't going to do that again. I wanted to wait for marriage this time. We however, kissed and hugged. I was interrupted by my phone ringing. It was Samuel. I ignored it and snuggled with James.
It rung again. I ignored it.The third time around it was getting really irritating so I just rejected his call and put my phone off so that James and I could have our quality time.
