I arrived at the court.

The look on James' face was priceless when I walked into the room. I swear he was going to cry. Mitchell was standing beside him.

"Look, uncle James. My mommy is so beautiful." he shouted.
"Indeed she is Mitchell, my boy."

I walked with the bouquet of flowers in my hand.

"James?" I said "Mitchell?" I continued.

James held my hand and we turned to face each other. He was so handsome. I couldn't wait for our Western wedding.

He was breathtakingly handsome and I assume I was breathtakingly beautiful to him, judging by the way he couldn't stop staring. I smiled and looked down because I could feel my cheeks turning red.

The officer came and shared a couple of words from the Bible.

We decided to save our vows for the wedding. For now, it was important for me to change my surname.

"Do you, Courtney Cox take James Jenkins to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." I said with a big smile.
"Do you...James Jenkins, take Courtney Cox to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

James stared at me in awe and replied "I do."

"By the powers invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

It was finally happening. My tummy was rolling all around with butterflies inside. James and I kissed. It felt beautiful. I could hear Mitchell in the background say "eeeew mom that is disgusting."

The officer looked at the witnesses and said "My dear friends, you are now looking at Mr and Mrs. Jenkins. Feel free to come and sign as witnesses."

My mom, Lily and James' parents came forward to seal the deal. It was finally happening. I was married. After everything I went through and seen with the father of my child and my child, I was finally with a man who honored me as a wife and loved me to bits.
