Author's Note:
There will be only two more chapters after this chapter.
I decided to have a chapter before the wedding for Roberto and Katerina.
So here you go, the third to the last chapter.
~Chapter 43~
~The Engagement Party~Our engagement party was held in the ball room at Nobel Michel's Castle.
It was a tradition when a Crown Prince was to be married. To have their engagement party and their wedding ceremony at Nobel Michel's Castle.
When we had announced our engagement to our parents, they were more than ecstatic.
So our engagement and wedding ceremony had been all planned a month after Roberto proposed to me.
The Crown Princes congratulates Roberto and I on our engagement.
"Who knew you two would get married," Edward commented as we mingled amongst each other.
"Who knew Roberto would even get married at all," Keith smirked.
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Roberto said in a whining tone.
The Crown Princes laughed as Roberto and Keith began to bicker.
I laughed as I stood next to my brother then.
"You'll be missed at home," He said as he handed me a wine glass. As I was of age to drink alcohol now.
"You make it sound like we will never see each other again," I looked into his violet eyes, identical to mine.
He chuckled. "Might as well seem like that."
"I know that I haven't been home for long, but we'll see each other." I said as I gave my brother a one armed hugged. "I'll always come home and visit— and you'll always come to see Roberto, and we'll get to see each other."
Joshua hugged me back.
"Don't mind your brother right now," He said as he kissed my forehead. "I'm just already missing you and you haven't even left home yet."
"I'll say," I laughed as I clinked my wine glass with his. "I'm never leaving. Ever."
Joshua smiled.
He clinked his wine glass with mine.
"I'm happy for you," Was all he said once Roberto had whisked me away for the first dance of our engagement party.
That night, I danced with every Crown Prince.
I even danced with my father, which was a first in six years.
"Congratulations," My father said as we danced.
"Thank you," I replied as my cheeks grew warm.
"I'm glad that you came back to us," My father said when we were finished with our dance. "And that you found life long happiness."
"I love you too," I brought my father into a gentle, but tight hug.
"I love you, my sweet daughter." He held me in his arms for a while longer. "Your mother and I are glad to have you back."
Tears welled in the corners of my eyes.
"Me too, dad."
The engagement party ended on a happy note, and there was only three days left until our wedding ceremony.
