Title: You & The Night
Author: SaintIves__
What is 'You & The Night'?
     - it is a thrilling and mysterious story, of course!

Rating-
      9/10

EBI:
- In some places, details can become rushed, especially when Roslyn is looking back on things, i.e. her interview or her experiences of the café. If you want, try and take moments to give an example of something that happened, maybe adding to the anecdotes and extending Roslyn's fixation on the past, which makes sense as her character is sort of struggling in current tense due to the loss of Cassius
- Make links between events. For example, it jumps straight into the café being shut last year to everything being fine and them working there, no inclusion of how it got from point A to point B, maybe just a few hints thrown in here and there about whether it was a smooth or bumpy transition
- Don't be afraid to drift more from relevance and talk about non-important things that the main character cares about just to add to the atmosphere of reveries and feeling like running etc.

Review:
'You & The Night' is a perfectly written and thrilling story of a girl trying to survive in a changed world without her brother. Its characters are intensely developed, with quick and effective language around events. If a character is scared and a scene is happening quickly, the reader feels it well, constantly on the edge of their seat and trying to hold on to the motions. The plot is so intricately weaved that the reader is automatically dragged into and enticed by it. It reminds me a little of Natalie's Diary, in how the same thrilling and beautiful language is used to describe and create the perfect atmosphere needed for the perfect mystery. This story is constantly interesting, you can't go wrong and you can't get bored - it's seriously impossible, it's just that good. It's entertaining and relatable, but is also highly original and completely refreshing, with the plot as well as the writing style. There's such casual reference to beautiful descriptions and deep notions, it's difficult not to get attached and is definitely another story I'll find myself following.

Recommended?
Absolutely.
