Title: on the REBOUND
Author: squishieshnoofus
What is 'on the REBOUND'?
- It is a teen fiction!

Rating -
8/10

EBI:
- Put the awards/achievements of your story aafffterrrrr the blurb, otherwise it's a lot to read through and can kind of put people off. So, putting it after can support and back up your blurb by being like 'hey, look, I've also got these so...read me'
- Maaaaaybe try and capitalise the title? So it's 'On The Rebound' or 'On The REBOUND' because it just looks a little better, I believe, anyway
- Type numbers. For example, '4 years' can be 'four years', '2 times' is 'two times' because sometimes using numbers can just look lazy, unless you're quoting etc. whereas if your character is just speaking i.e. 'she'd done that 2 times before' then try and use the word instead
- Commas! They are a blessing and they allow a reader to breathe so definitely use a lot more of them, especially in the doubly-complex paragraphs!
- The tense you use is harder than the past tense to keep up with, but you do really well at making sure you stay in the same tense so well done and seriously keep an eye and make sure you stay consistent
- Stay consistent with the text message layouts - choose how you want them to look and stick with it
- Sometimes the sentences can suddenly go really, really, really, really, really simple, and for a long amount of time as well. Watch this heavily and when you can join them, do, but still keep some short sentences to change it up and keep your reader on the ball - it's good!
- Emotive language. For example, when she sends that message to Tasha about how she doesn't want her secret to get out (spoiler alert!) it doesn't really sound as urgent as it is. For example, 'Tyler must not know' etc. If it was urgent, she's more likely rushing and freaking out and sounding like it's life and death

Review:
'On the REBOUND' is a catchy and hilarious story about a girl trying out new change and taking new strategy, trying to adapt to her quickly changing surroundings with school, boys and friends. It takes on the atmospheres of love, friendship, loyalty, comedy and even a little bit of heartbreak and loneliness and combines them into one fiery story. The story's potential lights up and definitely gives the reader a lot of time for enjoyment and fun. The inner thoughts of the main character is sweet, short and sometimes really funny if read in the right mood. The language is filled with anecdotes of characters and examples and makes for a really memorable foundation for the story.

Blurb:
Rejected by the boy she's loved from 4 years, Pinewood High's goody two shoes Betts Haywood goes on a while rebound spree. Will anyone be able to stop her from leaving a trail of broken hearts?

Recommended?
- Absolutely. If teen fiction, comedy and a dash of romance and friendship is your style, then this is an obsession waiting to happen
