Tomorrow marks my third week in this town. It was only my second Saturday living in Hawkins and already my life has turned upside down, literally.
I never expected to be a part of a group of people that have to deal with unreal issues; monsters, kidnappings, other dimensions. What is this?
At last, I was spending some time at home, taking a break from the chaos I've been through. My parents were now aware that Mike was kidnapped by the lab. I didn't tell them anything else. They didn't know about my whereabouts and my various trips sneaking around the lab.
"I don't think you should keep hanging around with those new friends of yours." My mother suggested, folding laundry in the living room.
"What? Why?" I questioned, taken back by her comment.
"You're going to be tempted to tell them too much." She warned.
"They already know." I lied, standing proudly.
My mother glanced around nervously.

"Kristen, no. That was a big mistake. I demand you to go tell them that it was all a lie." She ordered firmly.
I laughed. "I was kidding. They don't know where I came from."
She sighed. "That isn't funny. You could put our family in danger! Do you understand that?"
"Yes, I understand." I rolled my eyes and turned on my heels to disappear to my room. Before I got far, I stated, "I'm staying friends with them whether you like it or not. And I'm going to help get Mike back."
I left her speechless. ————- That night I had another dream. I was in the Upside Down again. The same storm was rolling in. The monster that Will described wasn't there. It was a thought in my mind and I even tried looking for it, but I couldn't find it.
I woke up abruptly, relieved it was only a dream, but still fearful that Will and I were seeing similar things. Could it mean something? Is it a warning?
