*Steve's POV*
Another failed attempt saving Mike. Nancy and I took a trip there ourselves, but got caught and thrown out by guards.
Our car ride back started out quiet. Then Nancy spoke, "How are you and Kristen?"
I shook my head. "It's over."
"What? You guys really liked each other."
"I liked her, she likes Billy."
"I find that hard to believe." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"She said his name instead of mine." I admitted.
"Oh Steve, I'm so sorry."
I could feel her apologetic stare while I kept my eyes on the road. "Don't feel sorry for me, it was my fault she was with him in the first place. If I hadn't messed up to begin with, this wouldn't have happened."
"Kristen was actually with Billy?" She questioned. I forgot she didn't know.
"It doesn't matter now. She could do whatever she wants." I acted careless. I wish I honestly felt that way. But I still wanted her.
