My eyes remained shut. I shivered from a coldness. It was silent.
My back was against the ground. I slowly opened my eyes. I looked up at a dark sky. I turned my head, and only saw some distant dead looking trees.

I turned my head the opposite way. I saw the school. Vines were draped over it all around. This place didn't feel like home. "Home" didn't even feel like home, but I knew this place was different.
I sat up. I knocked some gravel out of my hair.
"Steve!" I called. No answer.
