-Just the Three of Us-
(Max's point of view)
Tate woke up after I came out the bathroom. She looked a bit scared and I went up to her to calm her down. Tate looked at me and held onto me. I hate seeing her like this. What those monsters did to here, they are not what you call, a human.
"Shh, you're ok Tate. Everything's going to be alright." Rubbing her shoulder.
There was a knock at the door and I said come in. The door swung open and it was the group. The SYPC allowed them to come to the hospital and visit Tate. They had flowers, balloons, and some get well cards. Quinton came up to the bed and Tate saw him. She released me, and hugged him soo tightly. Quinten looked at me and I nodded my head for him to go ahead and hug her back. He deserved it for finding and retrieving her from that horrible place.
"Thank you, Quint." Tate's voice was still croaky from the screaming and lack of water.
"You're welcome."
"So how did you know where Tate was?" I asked.
"Well..." Quinton began to tell the story. "...When we found out that Tay was missing, we called you. We thought that you knew a place that she could be hiding or if she told you where she was going, but then when we found out that you didn't know where she was, the group began to panic. We searched high and low for Tay, but we couldn't find her until, we overheard Foyer talking to her brother. She asked Mel if he had done his job and he said yes. That's when we became suspicious. We had Bryce try to trick Foyer into telling us where Tay was. Even though she wouldn't say where, she did drop a few hints. Then, the group met in Tay's room so we can look over the clues that Foyer has dropped for us. After a bit, we began hearing strange noises coming from behind Tay's dresser. We pulled the dresser over and there was a vent. We heard your voice, Tay. So we all ran down to the basement level and began checking rooms. I heard crying coming from one door which was the one that you were in. That is how I found her. That is how the group found her."
"Well, Tate's incredibly thankful." I continued to hold Tate.
"Oh, we're also here because..." Christen stepped in view. "Even though Laura wanted to say this for herself, but Tay is free to go home. Laura is really deeply apologetic for what happened to Tay and she doesn't want her staying there again so she advices Tay to go home with her family. That's why we were there earlier packing her stuff."
"Thank...you...guys for everything." Tate coughed. "I'm...going...to miss you all."
"We're going to miss you too. You were the light of the group, man." A tear rolled down on Red's cheek. "Man, I hate this sappy shit. I don't like when people see me cry. Oh hell, we are going to miss you Tay even if it hasn't even been a week. You're a good kid, and soon you'll be a great mom. So good luck, from the group." The group came up and gave Tate a hug.
I sat back and watched all of them swarm Taytum with hugs. She was lucky to have people that began caring for her and like they said, even if is hasn't been a week. I'm just grateful that she's safe. The group gave Tate another hug before preparing themselves to leave. Quinton came up to me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you man again."
"You're welcome. You four be safe." Quinton left.
I smiled at the thought of us four. Mrs. Jase, Tate, me, and the little one. I turned around and saw Tate patting the bed for me to lay at. Laying down beside her, she laid her head on my chest. Man, did her hair smell good. I'm surprised at myself that I know how to wash a female's hair.
"You're...terrible...at washing my hair, you know." Tate coughed-giggled.
"Well it's not my fault that your hair was so freaking long." Snickering.
"So...it's...just the three of us?"
"Yeah, just the three of us." I placed my hand on Tate's stomach.
"I...love...you, Max."
"I love you too, Tate."
