-What you mean to me-
(Max's point of view)
I woke up feeling the sun light beat against my face. Tate was still sleeping adorably on my chest. I happened to look at her hand and to my surprise, she was still wearing the ring that I'd given her when I asked her to be my girlfriend. Moving my hand, I place mine on top of hers and looked at both of our rings. If only I could reverse what I've done to her, but first I had some serious talking to discuss with Tate when she wakes up.
After a little while, Taytum woke up and then she looked at me. We both began laughing. I don't think that we both knew what we were doing. It just sorta happened, but I loved it and I could tell that she did too. I rolled over top of Taytum and looked deeply into her pale blue eyes. She began blushing very hard and I couldn't help but tease her a bit. I started nibbling on her ear and kissing her neck. Then I looked back into her eyes and said, "We need to talk." She nodded her head in agreement.
Eventually, I got off of Tate so she could take a shower. I also as well joined her in the shower so we could have enough time to talk later on. I couldn't help but look at Tate's curves and how her ass was looking incredibly hot. She turned around and saw me looking at her. So she splashed some water at my face and got out and placed a towel around herself. I put my clothes back on and then I made my way downstairs and waited for Tate to be ready. Man did woman take a long time to get ready.
After what seemed like forever, she finally came down stairs and sat on the opposite couch I was sitting on. We were both quiet. I guess we were wondering who was going to start the conversation first. So I took a deep breath and began to speak.
"So before I began, I would like to apologize for what happened last night. Yes, it looked very like what you said, but we were not dating. I was merely asking Cassidy how I could win you back again, because honestly baby, I can't stand being away from you. And those words that I said to you weren't me. I was being black mailed and I was afraid of losing you, but then again, I still lost you." I tried not to bawl right in front of Tate. I had to show her that I was a tough guy.
"Max, who tried to black mail you?" Tate came over and took my hand.
"My brother." She looked at me confused. "Remember that day after we had our special moment and I said that I needed to take care of something?" Tate nodded her head. "Well when I got to my brother's house, he gave me two choices, either to stop seeing you and a video of Cassidy and me wouldn't be shown to you, or if I kept seeing you, Aaron would show you the video."
Taytum quickly removed her hand from mine. "What video?" I saw the worried look on her face.
"It wasn't a sex-tape babe. One night, I went to the club to get some drinks. That was the day before I asked you to be my girlfriend. But beforehand, I was afraid that you would reject me and that I wouldn't be with the girl that I was actually starting to fall for. Anyway Cassidy was at the club and she wanted to talk to me about something. I honestly wasn't for it, but I heard her out anyway. Though when she started kissing me, I honestly wasn't thinking straight, and I almost had sex with her, but I didn't because I knew that the only person that I wanted to give myself to was you."
Tate looked at me amazed and I saw a tear stream down her face. "I know that I was being a coward, but I was really afraid on how you would look at me if I were to tell you this, Tate. You've been through soo much, and I know this isn't an excuse, but I didn't want you to walk away from me. I wanted to keep that terrible secret to myself. And now that I'm sharing this with you, I realize that I don't want to leave you not now and not ever. So give me another chance, Tate. Let me make it up to you. I promise that I would never be a..."
Tate kissed me. She fucking kissed me. I was soo happy and relieved that she didn't look at me differently. She understood what really was going on.
"This doesn't mean you're forgiven, you have to beg for my forgiveness." Tate smirked at me.
"Anything for you, babe."
(Tate's point of view)
In the living room, I was watching a movie called, Hush. Mom still didn't return home from my grandmother's house and Cassidy never came home. I still wanted to talk to her because she lied to me and to make things worse, she was obviously obsessed with Max. The front door opened and I peaked behind me to see Cassidy come in. I cut the TV off and stood up.
"Hi Taytum, I didn't see there." She placed her bag on the small table next to the door.
"...Or is it because you're trying to avoid me?"
"Look, I don't have time to talk. Last night was a misunderstanding, but I guess you and Max seemed to work it all out." She must have seen Max and I in bed together.
"Well if it was a misunderstanding, why don't we talk about it so we can be on best terms like we used to?"
Luckily, Cassidy came over into the living room. I smiled sweetly at her and then raised my hand and slapped the shit out of her.
"WHAT THE HELL TAYTUM!!!" She looked taken back for a moment.
"That's payback, Cass. You're nothing but a liar, manipulator, and a selfish bitch." Anger was pouring out of me.
"How dare you talk to me like that?"
"Well I was only being honest? Why couldn't you just tell me what happened that night between you two. Its sad that someone that isn't my family comes into my house and tells me what really happened. I trusted you, Cass. You were my shoulder to cry on ever since Julie passed. The reason why I still believed hope was still alive because of you. Does family mean nothing to you?"
"I'm fucking sorry, Taytum. It isn't my fault on how I felt for Max. I can't control my fucking feeling, alright. Look, lets be real for a moment, why do you even care about these sort of stuff. You should've moved on. Don't blame this shit on me when really he never wanted you in the first place." I was really starting to see her true colors.
I calmed myself down. Looking sternly into her eyes I replied, "Well technically, if he didn't want someone like me, then why was he in bed with me last night? Why was it that he didn't lose himself to you?"
I could see Cassidy boiling up in side. "YOU were a never a cousin to me, Taytum. If I want Max, I can have him."
I just began to feel so sorry for Cassidy. She was trying way too hard and couldn't get no where. "You know Cass, there are some stupid people in this world and you just helped me realize that."
Cassidy began to scream. Man she was being a drama queen. She kinda reminded me as Veronica. Sooner or later, she grabbed her stuff and left out. I don't know what happened to Cassidy, but I should've known that, that mysterious guy was Max.
Mom returned home late at night with some take out food. She asked me where Cassidy was, but I told her that she went back to hell and was never coming back. Apparently mom also knew something was off about Cassidy. Even though throughout the conversation, I think mom was only paying attention to me and Max getting back together. I did leave out the part of Max and I reuniting with sex. She would be soo pissed. I spent the rest of the night enjoying some take out with mom and watching the movie.
