73. Christmas Cuddles (FLUFF!)

(Joey's POV)

I love the month of December. Not only is it the most beautiful time of the year, but it's Christmas month! I absolutely love Christmastime, I love all the lights in the streets, the smell of gingerbread and other cookies Daniel makes, the movies that seem to play on every television station, all the holly and mistletoe I hide all over the house to trick Daniel into a quick kiss. All of it is just wonderful. This week has been stressful, with shopping for Daniel's gifts, vlogging, and shooting collabs with friends. I haven't had time with Daniel, he's been busy too doing God knows what. I miss him, even though we live with each other, it sometimes feels like we're millions of miles away.

My favorite thing about Christmastime, are the decorations people put in their houses. Daniel is a professional decorator, and I love what he has done with our house. With that being said, I want to set something special up for Danny boy.

(Daniel's POV)

I've been missing Joey. A lot. I know I'm in his vlogs, I know I live with him, I know I love him. But with the Christmas season, the wildfires, and him busying himself with filming, I haven't spent much time with my beautiful boyfriend. I miss his laughter, I miss his kisses, even though I get quick kisses after finding myself standing under the hidden mistletoe. I miss his stubbornness, I miss his cuddles. Oh, his cuddles. His arms wrapped around me, his lips leaving kisses across my collarbone and down my jawline, his giggles making the smile on his face grow, his feet kicking around mine, twisting our legs together. I know we live in the same house, but sometimes it feels like we're millions of miles away.

I canceled my plans with friends today because I knew Joey had today free, no vlogging, no filming with friends, no Christmas shopping. But where is he? The house is filled with strange silence, there's someone home but not in the same area as me. "Joey?!" A door closes from upstairs "Danny! What are you doing home?" I look up to see Joey standing on the fifth stair "you say that like you want to get rid of me" my boyfriend smiles, coming down to wrap his arms around my neck "no of course not! I'm just so happy you're here! We haven't had time alone in forever" I rest my forehead against his "I know, I've missed you." Joey pulls me closer for a moment then pulling apart "so Danny, what did you have to give up to stay home today?" "What do you mean?" I take a step back "no, no! I didn't mean that in a mean way! I'm just asking because I know you have a busy schedule" I shrug "it was just some friends I've seen a million times in the past week" Joey smiles, taking my hand "well I'm honored to be the one you spend your day with" I bring his hand up to my lips, pressing a kiss "your majesty" Joey rolls his eyes with a bright smile "come on silly boy!" Pulling me upstairs, Joey opens the bedroom door revealing a tent made up of blankets, rose petals on the floor, candles burning on the television stand, Netflix menu waiting for us, and a plate of Pillsbury Break & Bake cookies.

"Wow Joey, this is amazing" he shrugs "it was nothing." Pulling Joey into my arms, I tip his head up so our faces were an inch apart "I love it, I love you" smiling, Joey kisses me, wrapping his arms around my waist. Pulling away, Joey leads me to the setup. Joey positions himself on my lap the second we sit down. "What made you decide to set this up? How did you know I'd be free today?" "Well I didn't think you'd be the one to cancel on your friends, so I told them to make up bullshit reasons to not hang out." I kiss his cheek, resting my head between his shoulder blade and jaw. As we were watching....well....not really watching, 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas', Joey fed me cookies with a playful smile on his face, sometimes narrowly missing, hitting my nose instead. "Joey I swear to God!" I say with a chuckle, grabbing his wrist "no Danny! I have to feed it to you" "well then stop missing!" Joey smiles "where is the fun in that?"

"Danny?" "Yes beautiful?" Joey blushes, his lips leaving kisses across my jawline "I just wanted to say I love you" I smiled, brushing my hand through his hair "we should probably be watching the movie" "you've seen this movie a billion times, this is the closest we've been in three weeks." Joey looks into my eyes "I wanna make up for the three weeks" I kiss his lips "hmm, well we got all day" Joey smiles "touch me." Raising my hand up to his face, my thumb brushes across his cheek, our eyes never breaking contact "you're the most beautiful man I've ever laid my eyes upon" Joey's cheeks heat darker red "you're the sweetest man I've ever known." Not wanting to spend all our time together complimenting one another, I flipped us over and kissed Joey sweetly "I want you to know Joey, that no matter how many plans we may have, I will always make time for you if you need me."

Switching positions, I rested on Joey's lap, playing with his fingers as we watched 'The Christmas Carol'. I felt Joey's lips on my neck for a brief second before the feeling disappeared "Danny?" "Yeah?" Joey tugged at my hand "can you sit up? I need to get something" I stood up, letting Joey slip underneath me. I stared up at the blue fairy lights tangled in the blanket above, smiling widely, I close my eyes and drift into a restless sleep. "Danny!" I'm shaken awake by an angry Joey "woah woah Joey! What's wrong?!" "What's wrong?! Are you seriously asking me that question? I come back to find you asleep! Have I been boring you?" Pulling him beside me, I kissed him vehemently, taking away his breath "wow" Joey says, breathless. "I know" Joey smiles, pulling my head down again to kiss me. I love times like these.

(Joey's POV)

I rested against Daniel's chest, his hands playing with my hair as Christmas music plays on the television "Danny? Do you see a future with me?" "Of course I do, I love you so much, Joey. One day I hope to become your husband, I want to have kids with you, I want to watch our dogs grow up, our future kids. I want to live a long life with you, a life filled with happiness and love." Leaning up, I kiss my wonderful boyfriend "I love you, Daniel."

The next day, I woke up with Daniel wrapped around me, his legs around my waist. Looking over at the sleeping boy, I press a kiss to his nose, burrowing my head under his chin. I watch the leaves move in the wind as I wait for Daniel to wake up, my hand gripped tightly onto his. My eyes fall on Daniel's face, focusing on each detail, every bit of stubble, every eyelash, every twitch of his nose, every tiny scrunch of his eyebrows that you'd miss it if you blink. Taking in the beauty of Daniel, I smiled, this boy is so beautiful. I kiss down his jaw and across his cheeks to the other side of his perfectly structured face. "Mmm...baby...what are you doing?" Blushing, I kiss all over the rest of his face "kissing you" Daniel smiles "why?" "Because you're beautiful" Daniel moves his head up to kiss me "the best way to wake up."

Daniel had to go out with his friends today to make up for yesterday and I still have collabs and gaming videos to film. As I was filming, I noticed the office door opening. Daniel came into the room and sat on the couch in front of me, putting my fingers to my lips, Daniel nods with a smile and lays on the couch, his feet kicked up. Turning off my camera an hour later, I look over at Daniel, smiling when I see that he's fast asleep. Kneeling beside him, I brush hair out of his face, kissing his nose "wake up Danny boy, you're friends are going to be looking for you." His eyes flutter open, meeting mine instantly "hi Joey" "hello there, what are you doing up here? Aren't you going out with friends?" Daniel shakes his head "they're too busy today" "so you're just going to lurk around while I film videos?" Daniel laughs "pretty much, is that okay?" "Yes, let me just finish my gaming" jumping behind the desk, a thought pops into my head. "Hey Daniel, do you want to film a gaming video with me?"

After filming ten gaming videos, I fell onto Daniel who was back resting on the couch. "Really Joey?" "Mhm!" Turning to face him, I kiss his nose "I love you, Daniel" he smiles, pecking my lips "I love you more Joey."
