Thank you to breeoc97 for this Oneshot Idea! All the love ❤️

Thanks to all of you for 20k reads and Happy New Year!

Also, this is kind of a continuation of my first ever oneshot titled "On Schedule." Also, if you're not okay with the fictional idea of a male being pregnant I suggest you leave.

(Daniel's POV)

It's been nine months since I discovered that Joey's pregnant. It's been a whirlwind of emotions these past couple months, Joey's hormones all over the place. One minute he's crying, then he's laughing about something he saw on Instagram. But it's when he's super cuddly it's amazing, he curls up in a ball against me, waiting for me to rub his stomach or run my fingers through his hair. Oh and we are no longer just engaged, Joey and I got married when he was five months pregnant. When he was six months pregnant we discovered the gender of our child, it's a girl. Joey and I have been talking about names for the past month or so. When we're curled up on our bed, my arm wrapped around Joey, his head just barely resting on my shoulder with the baby bump keeping us apart, we talk about names for our daughter.

Joey's due date is coming up fast. The doctor wants us to be in the hospital so that the nurses could keep an eye on him. We're only supposed to stay in the hospital since this is a male pregnancy, obviously, Joey can't conceive the way a female normally does, so this is going to have to be a C-Section. Hearing the news, Joey grew nervous. "Daniel?" "Yeah?" Taking my hand, Joey pulls me onto the bed "I'm so happy to have our child but at the same time, I'm very nervous. I mean, they're going to cut me open!" Rubbing his stomach, I kiss the top of his head "I know it sounds painful but you must remember what we both get out of it. Also, it's not going to be as painful as the way a female gives birth." Joey chuckles, running his hand across my chest "I can't wait to meet our little princess, you're going to be a great father. You'll know just what to say to them when they go through tough times." Just when he says that I feel our little baby kick against Joey's stomach. Joey and I smile at the movement "hello little girl, we can't wait to meet you!"

The doctors come in every few hours to check on Joey, asking if the baby has kicked or moved at all. When Joey would say yes, the doctor checked his dilation as if he was going to give birth the natural way. It was freaking me out, considering today is Joey's due date. Suddenly, Joey's head snaps back in pain, he screams in agony. The doctors looked at Joey with wide eyes "it's time" unlatching Joey's bed from the poles, the doctors rush him into the operating room, letting me follow behind. "We have a male c-section on our hands, we have to handle this with care. This is a rare occurrence" I look at Joey, who's looking at me with wide scared and pained eyes "you're going to be fine Joey, I'll be here the whole time" he kisses my hand as we're brought into the operating room.

Joey was screaming in pain as the doctors cut a circle around his belly button. Gripping my hand tighter than I thought humanly possible, Joey whimpered as he rested his head on my arm, wanting this torture to be over so we can meet our baby girl. "Congratulations Mr. and Mr. Graceffa, it's a girl!" The main surgeon looks at me "Daniel, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" Kissing the top of Joey's head, I walk over to the surgeon who hands me a string and a pair of scissors, instructing me on how to properly cut it. The nurse takes our baby to wash off the blood before handing her over to me in a bright pink blanket. As they're stitching Joey up, I lay beside him with our daughter in my arms. Our midwife comes up to us "congratulations gentlemen, have you decided on a name?" Nodding, I look over at Joey with a smile "Elizabeth Maria Graceffa."

Moving us back to a proper hospital room, Joey and I take turns holding our baby until he falls asleep due to the drugs they used to numb the pain from the stitching. The door opens and my mother steps inside, the moment her eyes land on Elizabeth, her eyes water "oh my, Daniel, she's adorable." Pulling up a chair beside me, I hand her our child carefully. "What did you name her? I know you and Joey wanted to keep it a secret before today" smiling, I tell her "Elizabeth Maria Graceffa" my mother gasps before leaning over to give me a one arm hug. Joey wakes up a minute after, still a bit dazed. Looking at me, Joey smiles "where is our baby girl?" Maria hands Joey our child just as she opens her eyes, revealing bright blue eyes with a bit green around the irises. We all gasp "oh my god, her eyes are beautiful" Joey looks at me "we made this" I kiss his forehead "we sure did."

We had to stay in the hospital for a couple more days, letting Joey heal. Today was our last day here so I flew in Joey's sister and his father to meet their niece/granddaughter. They entered an hour before visiting hours ended, seeing Elizabeth in my arms immediately "oh my god! She's adorable!" Nicole comes rushing over, asking to hold her. Joey rests his head on my shoulder as he watches his sister holding his daughter with a fond smile. Nicole asks for the name, Joey answers as he cuddles closer to me, wrapping an arm around my waist.

Back at home, Joey and I bring Elizabeth to our room where we had set up a crib next to Joey's side of the bed. What? I take care of the dogs, he can take care of a baby. Elizabeth immediately curls into a ball when she's laid down in the crib, Joey covers her with the thin blanket before closing the blinds so the sun wouldn't wake her. Taking a baby monitor with us, Joey and I head downstairs. My mother comes over to us "how is my little princess?" "Ahem, she's our princess! She's upstairs asleep" hugging us, my mom congratulates us before going to her room. Lounging on the couch, Joey looks at me, a smile on his face "can you believe it, Daniel? We're parents!" Kissing his nose, I pull him closer "we're parents."

As expected with a newborn, Elizabeth started screaming around noon. Instead of me getting up, Joey bolted up the stairs. Carrying her downstairs, Joey looks at me worriedly "she's thirsty, I don't know how to produce breastmilk!" "Just put some milk in the microwave for ten seconds" nodding, Joey keeps one hand on Elizabeth as he attempts to pour milk in a bottle with the other. "Do you need help?" "No, no! I got this!" Screwing on the lid after warming the milk, Joey carefully places the bottle near Elizabeth's lips. She happily opens her mouth, drinking almost half the bottle. Going back upstairs to put her back to bed, Joey doesn't return. A few minutes go by before I tip-toe upstairs. Putting my ear to the door, I hear Joey silently singing Don't Wait for our daughter. I open the door a bit and look in, Joey was sitting on the bed with Elizabeth in his arms, rocking her while softly singing. I walk over and sit beside him, wrapping my arm around his waist.

After Elizabeth had fallen to sleep again, Joey carefully places her back in the crib. "Joey, why didn't you let me help you?" Sighing, Joey leans back against me "you do everything with the dogs, you feed them, walk them, bathe them. I don't want you to do all the work with Elizabeth, I want to be a parent, not an observer." Rubbing his arm, I kiss his temple "Joey, you don't need to do everything by yourself just to prove that you're a good parent. You don't have to be alone in this, you have me. You weren't alone during the pregnancy, you aren't alone in her life. Let me do some of the work, we'll split it in half" Joey shakes his head "no, you already do so much with the dogs and your brand, I want to do this. I want to put in the same effort you do" "she's my daughter too. Let me help you" looking at Elizabeth, Joey sighs "I just want to be a good dad" "you will be, in fact, you already are. You sang her to sleep, you fed her, you most likely changed her. You're a great father seeing as it is the first day, there's no need to worry."

Joey and I wake up to Elizabeth wailing, Joey sits up first but I place a hand on his chest "sleep, we'll take turns." Kissing my hand, Joey falls back to sleep almost instantly. Picking up my little princess, I can immediately know what's wrong. Taking her to the changing station, I successfully change her. Kissing the top of her head, I rock her until she drifts off, sucking on her thumb. However, I slip it out of her mouth. Crawling back into bed with Joey, I wrap my arms around him, kissing the top of his head "I love you so much Joey, you and Elizabeth are the best things to ever happen to me. Thank you for being with me and blessing me with a child, I love you so goddamn much." As I'm about to drift off, I hear Joey whisper "I love you too, you and our daughter."
