Okay, a little location change. Janiel isn't living in L.A, they're back in Massachusetts. Which is why snow is going to be mentioned.

(Joey's POV)

Ah, Christmas time. Caroling, decorations, Mariah Carey, and the sweet smell of various cookies in the oven. Daniel's decorations filled the house, accompanied by the smell of fresh balsam trees and fir. "Joey! Can you come down here for a moment please!" I hear Lark's nails tap against the wood flooring as she follows me down the stairs. The second I step off the staircase, the scent of sugar cookies enter my nostrils. "Daniel, you did not!" Daniel's laugh brings a smile to my face "oh I did! Come try one, I just took a batch out of the oven." Skipping to the kitchen, I greet my husband with a kiss. "Only you would make sugar cookies at nine in the morning."

Instead of normal breakfast, Daniel and I enjoyed a small plate of sugar cookies and some hot chocolate topped with a mountain of whipped cream and chocolate shavings. "I can't believe Christmas is in two days, this month has gone by so fast." Daniel reaches across the counter to hold my hands, a warm smile on his face "I can't wait for you to see what I got you, you're going to love it!" "I don't know what could beat out the Christmas when you proposed me." Pulling me on his lap, he kisses my nose "that was one of the best nights of my life." "One?" Daniel chuckles, rubbing our noses together "the best night was our wedding, of course."

Later in the day, Daniel and I were cuddling on the couch watching Christmas movies. I rested my head on his chest and his arms were securely wrapped around me, I felt an overwhelming feeling of protection and love. His warmth and the soft sound of his heart beating in his chest was slowly lulling me to sleep. As my eyes started to droop, I heard Daniel gasp. "Joey! It's snowing!" I jump off his lap and head over to the window "oh my God! It's beautiful!" All of our dogs come up behind us, their noses pressed against the window. I feel Daniel's arms wrap around me and I fall back into his chest.

Daniel and I stay looking out at the snowfall until there were a good nine inches on the ground. "Let's go outside!" I break out of Daniel's embrace and over to the hall closet. Once I was dressed head to toe in snow gear, I looked behind me, hoping to see Daniel dressed in the same manner. But he wasn't. "Come on Daniel, let's go outside!" He shakes his head "you go, I'll make lunch." I pouted "you're not going to make snow angels with me?" Daniel walks over, putting a hand on my shoulder "I don't need to make one, I already have one." A dark red blush paints my cheeks "that doesn't make sense, Danny. I'm not made out of snow!" He laughs "you know what I meant."

All three dogs join me out in the snow. Storm easily blending in, Lark biting at the steady snowfall, and Wolf just sitting by the front door watching all of us. I fall back into the deep snow, staring up at the grey sky as more snowflakes fall onto my face. Soon, I feel one of the dogs jump on my chest, knocking the air out of me. "Storm!" The white husky moves up to lick at my face, his paws hitting my chest repeatedly. "Yes, yes, hello." Lark soon joins in, licking all the places Storm is missing. "Wolfie! Wolfie help me!" I attempt to sit up but Storm doesn't budge, just keeps licking my face. "Alright kids, off you go!"

I finally get the two dogs to stop kissing me, sitting up in the freezing cold ground. My entire face is frozen and it feels as though I lost feeling in my hands. I hear the snow crunching under the dogs' feet as they run away from my statuesque form. "Joey? It's time to come in, you must be freezing!" With every movement, the cold wind hits my body. "Oh my! Joey! You're freezing! Come on, let's get you warmed up" instead of dragging me into the house, he picks me up. "You've only been outside for twenty minutes and already you're as frozen as an icicle!" He sits me on the couch, wrapping a warm white fluffy blanket around my shoulders. "I'll run you a bath, you stay right here and slightly warm up." Daniel kisses my cold forehead before running upstairs. I'm soon joined by the two devils who made me this cold. "H-Hi c-children!"

Soon, Daniel rejoins me on the couch. "Come on my frozen boy." Putting me in his arms again, Daniel peppers kisses all over my face, bringing a smile to my ice cold face. The bathroom door opens and my eyes widen. The bath was filled nearly to the top with bubbles, tiny candles scattered everywhere, the scent of lavender and vanilla filled my nostrils. Daniel slowly undresses me, always asking if it was okay. After I was undressed, he carefully sets me down into the bath. Filling a cup with water, he pours it over my head. "Warming up, Joey? Or should I raise the water temperature?" I shake my head, smiling up at him "I think I'd warm up faster if you were in here." Daniel smirks and starts unbuttoning his shirt.

Laying back on Daniel's chest, I immediately feel warmth flood my veins. My eyes begin to close when I hear a quiet click of a remote before soft music begins playing. "Did you really set up a speaker in here? You're so cheesy!" He chuckles, his hands massaging my shoulders. "Only the best for you, Joey." I couldn't help falling asleep against Daniel's chest, all the negativity and stress leaving my body as my husband massages my shoulders.

When I wake up, I'm in my bed without Daniel sleeping beside me. A towel is wrapped around my body underneath the blankets. "Daniel?" I sit up, tightening the towel around me. Quickly putting on sweatpants, I head downstairs to find Daniel dancing along to the Christmas music blaring throughout the house only in his boxers and white tank top. I stay in the hallway, watching him sing along to Jingle Bell Rock.

Once the song ends, an all too familiar song pops on the radio. Daniel starts singing and I jump in halfway through.

My mother will start to worry (beautiful, what's your hurry?)
My father will be pacing the floor (listen to the fireplace roar)
So really, I'd better scurry (beautiful, please don't hurry)
But maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour)

The neighbors might faint (baby, it's bad out there)
Say, what's in this drink? (No cabs to be had out there)
I wish I knew how (your eyes are like starlight now)
To break the spell (I'll take your hat, your hair looks well)

Daniel looks over to me, smiling as he continues.

I ought to say no, no, no, sir (mind if I move in closer?)
At least I'm gonna say that I tried (what's the sense in hurting my pride?)
I really can't stay (baby, don't hold out)

Oh but it's cold outside.

I simply must go (but, baby, it's cold outside)
The answer is no (but, baby, it's cold outside)
This welcome has been (how lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm (look out the window at that storm)

My sister will be suspicious (gosh, your lips look delicious)
My brother will be there at the door (waves upon a tropical shore)
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious (ooh, your lips are delicious)
But maybe just a cigarette more (never such a blizzard before)

I've gotta get home (but, baby, you'd freeze out there)
Say, lend me your coat (it's up to your knees out there)
You've really been grand (I thrill when you touch my hand)
But don't you see (how can you do this thing to me?)

There's bound to be talk tomorrow (think about a lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (if you caught pneumonia and died)
I really can't stay (get over that hold out)

Ooh, baby (oh, but it's cold outside)

Daniel starts laughing. "That song is creepy, now that I think about it." I smack his chest "oh come on! Ruin the moment, why don't you?" He smiles, pulling me into his arms "it's only cute when we sing it." "Ehh...I think the couple in Glee was pretty cute too." Daniel rolls his eyes in response "come on, let's eat."

Later in the night, Daniel makes us some hot chocolate. All the lights are off in the movie room as I wrap myself up in my white fluffy blanket, picking at the strands with the Netflix menu waiting for a show to be chosen. "Okay! I brought hot chocolate and made some break and bake sugar cookies. Sorry, it took so long" he sits beside me, resting the tray on the ottoman in front of us. "No, no. It was worth the wait. You're always worth the wait, especially when you have cookies!" Daniel pulls the blanket up, sliding in beside me "this has to be the best snow day ever. I can't wait for more days like this." I cuddle against him with a smile "I agree. So what should we watch?" Daniel smirks, taking the remote from me "I know the perfect show." My smile grows as he chooses Glee and scrolls through season two. "You're not!" He laughs "let's see who's cuter now."
