100 DAYS OF YOU (A MAYWARD STORY)

Part 2

At 10:00 AM

We went out to attend a mass at Sanctuario De San Antonio in Forbes Park Makati.

Right after mass we went straight ahead to Greenbelt to have lunch.

Laureen made a reservation at Sala Bistro and as soon as our orders were taken my Dad started talking!

'Son, you are now 18! what would you want as a gift?'

hmmmmm..that made me think. I never really thought of it since i normally get anything that I want. As long as I am meeting my parents expectations when it comes to my academics, they grant what i want.

'Uhmmmmm, well i got a simple request. All i want is to get on and off to school without a driver and that also include not riding with Laureen.' i said to Daddy with puppy eyes.

Mom looked at Dad quite surprised trying to see if he will agree.

'I'll have to discuss that first with your Mom.' Dad said.

'But Why?! Laureen get to drive her car when she turned 18!' I hissed

'Cause I am a responsible driver! I don't go out with friends to get drunk and I also do not easily fall asleep like you do.' Laureen answered back.

'Quiet you two! we are at a restaurant for pete's sake. Ethan, I already told you that I'll discuss it first with your Mom.' Dad said irritably.

Laureen looked at me with a smirk. My sister and I is just like a typical sibling. we fight with the smallest thing possible. We irritate each other most of the time but she is still my sister and one of my bestfriends.

We roamed around the mall. Dad and Mom is walking while holding hands. Tss. Yeah they are your #relationshipgoals while my arm is around my sisters shoulder while walking behind Mom and Dad.

By 6 PM after shopping we decided to go home. This is how i normally spend my birthday. I am not a fan of big and fancy gatherings.

As soon as we get home. Laureen and Mom started walking towards the door while Dad and I are picking up the shopping bags from the back of the car. Mom and Laureen are waiting for us at the door and I don't know why.

'What?' Laureen asked.
I gave her a confused look and asked 'why don't you just open the door.'

'well someone needs to open the door for you, don't you think?' Laureen said while raising her eyebrow.
As soon as i reached the last step of the stairs, i said 'then open it already.!' and so she did ....
