As soon as I got home i was asked by my yaya to get to to dining area as dinner is already prepared.

Everyone is already there. I sat down and started to get food.

While eating dad suddenly said 'Son, Nonong told me about what happened last night! He said you pushed one of Laureen's friend and that she stumbled.' Dad said calmly.

'Well, she is not Laureen's friend! Right Laureen?!' I said as I faced Laureen

'That's not the point, anak. The point is about you pushing a girl. That's not what I thought you dba? Di ba what I always say is to always treat a woman right? If you can take any burden away from any woman, do it. That's what I thought you. Have you forgotten?! Asked Mom

'Of course not Mom. That is how I always treat you and Laureen and every girl in this house. It's just that I don't like her.'

'Why are you so allergic when it comes to girls anak?!' She asked

'Eh?!' I don't know what to say

'Anak, you can be honest with us! You know we will accept you no matter what right?' Mommy saounding so gentle

Laureen is trying to hold back her laughter and i am not sure why.

'I mean it will be hard at first of course cause you will be the only one who can continue the legacy of of the Barber's and I am hoping that you will have children but I guess if that's what you really are, we cannot do anything about it but to understand. Right?' Daddy said and he looks soo sad

'What are you guys even talking about? I don't get it!' I am really confused on what they are trying to say. I looked at Laureen and her eyes are now teary because of that Laugh that she is trying to hold back

'You can tell us anak, please.' Mom is now pleading

'Tell you what Mom?!' I'm getting furious now

'Are you gay ba anak?! Okay lang naman anak.' Mommy said and she reached for my hand. She's queezing my hand like encouraging me to speak up

'What?! Gay? Me? No!! I am not?' I can't believe this

Laureen can't hold it back anymore and started laughing. She looks like she'll pee in her pants any moment now

'Laureen! Stop laughing! Being gay is not something that you laugh about!' Sinita ni Mommy si Laureen

'You are right mom. There is nothing wrong in being gay but seriously? Do you really think I am gay? C'mon Mom! Dad!'

'Eh kasi anak. Para kang napapaso tuwing may lumalapit na babae sayo. You never introduced a girl to us. I don't know if you ever had a girlfriend. Also, last night I went down to check on you sa basement and I heard your friends saying you are a.....what was the term they used?! Oh 'mamshie'!

'I am not allergic with girls mom! Its just that I only want to focus on my studies and basketball!'

'That's exactly our point son! You never go out with girls. You never asked for money to go on a date. That is not normal for a teenager! Of course unless you are .... what was that again hon?! Dad asked Mom

'mamshie!' Mom answered

'Yea right. Unless you are a mamshie Ethan' dad said

'Stop it all of you! I am not gay! And..

And..

I have a girlfriend!'

'Yea! Yeah i have a g-g-girlfriend'
Did i sound convincing

All their jaw dropped. Laureen looking at me with raised eyebrows!

'Come again?' Laureen asked

'I said I have anooo... a girlfriend. It is pretty early in the relationship sooo i haven't introduced her yet.' I hope i sound convincing enough

'Well, your Dad and I will be leaving tomorrow because of the board meeting but we will be back in 2 weeks time. I hope by then you can introduce us to your "girlfriend"'

'Son, we gave you the chance to be honest. If after 2 weeks and we found out that you are lying about this girlfriend and about you being gay, i will definitely be upset!'

God! What did I even do! Where to get a girlfriend in 2 weeks!!
