Nova's POV

"Wake up, pet." I felt soft lips graze across my exposed neck, making me lift my head from under the covers.

"Mm.." I lazily pulled him back just as he went to move away. "Lips." I demanded softly.

This time his lips found mine and I could feel his smile.

"Merry Christmas, sweetheart."

I peeked an eye open and then the other, smiling as soon as those pale brown eyes came into view. "Merry Christmas, wolf boy."

"Get dressed." He kissed my brow before moving off the bed. "Breakfast is ready."

"Is everyone here already?" I jumped out of bed.

"Not yet." He hugged my bare frame to him. "We.." He spun me around slowly. "We still have some time." He finished with a kiss to my shoulder.

I pressed into him. "Then back to bed we go."

"I can't believe you let them get rid of my boots." I tried not to sound so bitter being the holidays and all, but I couldn't help but to sneer at my heeled feet as we made our way down the hall.

"Please don't be mad. It wasn't necessarily on purpose, but they had it coming, pet. They were ages."

"Hey!" I stopped, making him face me. "Don't speak ill of the dead." I warned.

"Sorry." He lifted his brows as if they were a waving white flag. "Can we just-"

"Luna. Alpha." Kale rounded the corner, meeting us in the hall. "Merry Christmas."

"Please tell me you bare gifts." Grey said almost desperately. "And that they include combat boots."

Kale looked puzzled for a moment before answering. "No boots. But there are some additional gifts that have been added under the Luna's tree. I think she'll be more than pleased with the surprise."

I nearly booked it to the main room of the packhouse.

"Gabe!" I yelled, running into a hug with my friend. Vampire or not, Gabriel was just that. My friend.

"How've you been, Luna?" He kissed the top of my head. "It's strange to say I've missed this place."

"Who wouldn't miss being scrutinized by a pack of untrusting wolves?" I shook my head at him. "I've been good. I've missed you though. How's.. everything?"

"Being kicked from the pack sucks, but my main reason for being there was better access to watch over Tino. Seeing as to his big sister has been kicking ass and taking names, I'd say it could be worse."

I smiled. "I have a gift for you."

"You knew I'd come?"

"I was hoping you would." I walked over to my tree and picked up his gift, handing it over to him.

Grey and Kale entered the main room.
