My first sparring session had went well, buuut maybe the outcome wasn't so much in my favor as I'd hoped it would be.
I mean, of course I hadn't expected Grey to take it easy on me, that would've caused for another fight, but he could've at least showed me a few things before just outright putting me on my back.
It's been almost a month since then, and I had to admit, I was pretty kick-ass when it came to fighting. Especially learning how to use my new speed and strength to my advantage, which is much harder to do than it sounds.
Considering I had to adapt to my new abilities in such a short amount of time. It was like having to learn my body and especially my limbs all over again.
I felt like an infant to this. Grey was right, yet again, the bastard. He did say I would only be a beginner. But what he failed to mention was just how quickly I'd improve.
"Again!" Grey yelled at me.
I came full speed at him.
He dodged me with ease and I swung again.
"You've excelled in your wolf form, pet. But you won't be ready for anything until your human state and wolf form are in synch."
I was angry at how easy it was for him to converse with me, seeing as to I was nearly out of breath from back to back sparring sessions with him and a few others.
My back was still aching from Lynn taking me down earlier today.
Alright, Nova. Be smart.
I took a deep breath, shaking my hands out and loosening out my body.
"That's my girl. Now try again." He spread his arms, giving me a clear shot of his body. "Come and get me, sweetheart."
The smile he flashed me gave me the rush I need to charge at him even faster, pushing all my weight forward and taking him to the ground.
Finally!
He took me in, rolling from his back to his head, to his front, throwing me over and off of him.
"Keep your head in it! Don't get too cocky. I presented you with an open shot, you won't always get one of those." He said, standing with ease to his feet.
"Now you're being generous?" I asked sarcastically after landing with a slide on my feet, dipped low to the ground, hands deep in the crunching snow.
A new advantage to being a wolf was exceptionally high temperature that doesn't overheat me and keeps me from getting cold too easily. A definite body advancement, indeed.
"Generous enough to not tear you a new asshole, pet."
"I'll show you who's whose pet." I smirked, challengingly.
"Come."
I ran at him, instincts kicking in to drop low, so I did so, managing to dodge a quick fist he'd thrown that I didn't even have to see coming, to know that it was.
"Good." He praised, yet swung a leg in which I blocked with both of my forearms, then hit his leg hard enough to swing him around.
I was back up and standing, swinging my right fist that he'd blocked with his left hand after completing an entire three-sixty that I'd sent him in.
Merde, he's fast.
I punched his wrist that held my fist in it with my left hand, that caused him to let go and kicked my knee into his stomach.
Don't hesitate.
I used my right hand again, swinging twice and managing to actually land blows. I kicked his shin, taking him down to one knee.
