Nova's POV

He still smelled of that familiar, intoxicatingly sweet smell that made my mouth water. Though there was something different, something that wasn't there before.

I only realized how close I had gotten when Gio cleared his throat.

Take him as yours, he'll be of use.

"Why did he allow you to come?" Gio's question immediately dimmed the voice to a quiet whisper. As if it too listened in.

"I may be a vampire, but that doesn't mean we don't have a common goal, he and I." Gabe smirked knowingly.

"Me." I looked over at him.

He sat back in his seat, noting I was done analyzing him by scent. "You." He confirmed. "And I see there are more that do." He eyed Gio suspiciously.

"He knows the ins and out." I explained shortly.

"I'm sure a rogue would." Now, he actually turned to face Gio. "How can I be assured we can trust him?"

"Assured? We?" Gio let out out a not so humorous laugh. "Luna, we should be leaving."

"After she's fed." Gabe said as nonchalantly as Grey would have. "So, rogue.. tell me."

"I can tell you how to make a vampires head go pop."

Quirking a humored brow. "How about how to properly fasten a collar?"

"I'll defang you, longtooth." Gio's eyes reflected.

Gabe flashed his fangs in the same instant. "If I don't catch a bite of you first."

Gio let his long canines slide into place. "Who first, exactly?"

"Here we are. Oh!" Sam the server noticed Gabe as she sat down our plates. "My mistake, are we dining for three instead?" She looked a bit confused, but kept a composed, friendly smile.

Gabe sheathed his teeth in a manner only vampires could do without seeming awkward as they spoke, Gio quickly retracted his.

"I'll just take a bit of you," It was too brief for a human to notice, but I saw him catch a whiff of her scent in the air. "Sweetness."

Between my dark demeanor, Gio's flustering advances due to his own love lost, and Gabe's natural gravitational pull, I'm sure Sam the Server was going to be spinning right on the axis of her confused libido by the end of her shift.

She giggled with a completely flushed red face that was pointless to even attempt to hide.

"I'll have a glass of water for now." Gabe settled with.

"Right.." She looked like she was on the verge of spontaneous combustion. "Water." She said again as if needing it for herself.

"Thanks, sweetness."

As soon as she wandered off in a haze of testosterone and natural wolf domination in the air, I turned to the vampire. "Do you mind dying?"

Gio smirked happily at him as if he had been the one to ask.

Gabe looked down at himself again, then back up at me. "Have I not already?" He smiled. "What did you have in mind, Luna?"

"If they don't send a wolf by noon tomorrow to confirm our request to meet, then we storm."

Gio's gaze shifted to me, but he didn't say anything.

"I have no time to waste and I'm growing impatient with every minute ticking by. She will meet her end.. soon."
