"So this will be your area. Max will be over here. When you need help, just ask him and he'll make some extra drinks", the manager said. I nodded. "Thanks, but I'm sure I won't need any help." I smiled and walked behind the bar. I put on an apron and got everything I needed. "I'm ready. Let's do this." I checked the time and saw there were 20 minutes left before everyone showed up, so I walked over to Lily.

"Looking good in the apron", she said. I smiled and spinned around. "Thanks." She giggled and looked at me. "Are you sure you want to be behind the bar tonight?", she asked. I nodded. "Absolutely. Who else is gonna save the night." She laughed. "Probably no one. Thank you. I owe you one", she said. I shook my head. "You owe me nothing. I'm happy to do it." She smiled. "At least treat yourself to a drink or two", she said. I laughed. "Obviously."

It got close to 9 pm and a crowd started forming outside.

"Should we let them in early?", Lily asked. "The DJ is still setting up his booth. Give him till 9, like we promised", I said. She nodded. She seemed a bit off. "Are you okay?", I asked. She looked at me and smiled. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I grabbed her hand. "It'll be fine. Stop worrying. This is already the best party of the year", I said. She smiled. "You think?" "Yeah, I mean, you got a smoking hot bartender.." I pointed at myself. "And you got a great venue, a great DJ and great snacks. Just relax." She nodded. "I do have the hottest bartender in town", she said. "Hottest bartender in the world", I said. We both laughed. "In the world." "It'll be great", I said. She smiled and hugged me. "I'll be behind the bar, in case you need me." "Oh, I will be needing you", she said. I smiled and walked back to the bar.

"Ok, everyone ready?!", Lily yelled. "Yeah!", Max, my bartender buddy yelled. "Good to go!", the DJ yelled. "Let them in", Lily said to the security guard. He opened the door and everyone was cheering.

"Hey, everyone! Welcome to my birthday bash! Come in, and party!", Lily said. The crowd burst in and the bar immediately got busy.

"Hi, what can I get you?", I asked the first girl. "2 cosmo's, please." I nodded. "Anyone else wants a Cosmo?!", I yelled. About 10 people raised their hands, so I immediately started making 12. I finished making them in a matter of minutes. I went on to the next person. "1 long Island iced tea and 1 coke and rum." Like before, I asked who else wanted those drinks. I quickly made a bunch. Within 40 minutes, everyone had their drinks. I took a deep breath. "Good job", Max said. I smiled. "Thanks, told you I wouldn't need help."

I threw my towel on the bar and poured myself a drink. As I took my first sip, Lily walked over to me. "Girl, you were on fire back there!" I smiled. "Thanks. Can I get you a drink?", I asked. "Yes, please! A big fat Mojito", she said. "Got it." I got some mint leaves, lime, and ice and put it all together. I added the rum and soda water and shaked. "Here you go", I said. She smiled and took a big sip. "Oh my god, it's so good."

"Are you having fun yet?", I asked. She nodded. "Everyone is complimenting my outfit, and loving the drinks." As I tried to say something back, two girls walked up to her. "Oh my god, your dress is so cute! Dance with us!" Lily looked back at me and shrugged her shoulders. I giggled and went back to the bar.

"What can I get you", I asked a guy as I watched Lily dance.
