We walked near the water, letting it touch our bare feet. "Are you cold?", I asked breaking the silence. "A bit", she said. "But it's fine." I handed her the bottles. "Wait here", I said and softly kissed her on the cheek. She smiled and nodded.

I walked to one of the souvenir shops and looked for a blanket.

"Hi, how can I help you?", a salesman said. "I'm looking for a blanket or something to stay warm", I said still looking around. "We have picnic blankets over here, and we got sweaters over there", he said. I nodded. "Thanks."

I grabbed one of the blankets, a sweater and payed for it.

As I walked back to the beach, I saw her sitting on a rock, watching the waves collapse.

"Hey", I said. She looked at me and smiled. "Hi." I handed her the sweater. "This was all I could find", I said. "You didn't have to. I said it was fine", she said putting on the sweater. "I know, but I didn't want you to get sick or anything."

We just watched the ocean for a minute.

"Come on", I said reaching for her hand. She happily took my hand and walked with me. "Where are we going?", she asked. "Just somewhere nice", I said.

After about 5 minutes we got to the place.

"We just need to get over these rocks", I said. She raised an eyebrow. "In this outfit?", she said. I laughed. "I'll help you." I stood on the first rock and helped her up. "See? It's not that bad", I said. We kept climbing a few more rocks, when we reached a small area with palm trees and rocks. The moon was right in the middle of the sky when you looked at it from there.

"What is this place?", she asked. "I sometimes come here for some quiet time", I said. "No one ever comes here." I laid down the blanket and sat down. "Sit", I said. She sat down and just stared at the water. I poured two drinks and handed her one. "Are you okay?", I asked. She nodded. "Yeah, it's just.. it's a bit weird." "What do you mean?", I asked. "Well, us." I nodded. "I know. So I thought, maybe we could talk about it", I said.

It was quiet for a bit, when she grabbed my hand.

"I like you", she said. "Like, a lot." I smiled. "I'm just nervous." "Why would you be nervous?", I asked. She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. It's just, we've been best friends ever since I can remember. And taking it to something is just.. how do I say this.. scary?", she said. "It depends", I said. She looked at me. "What do you mean?" "Depends on how we're gonna do this. It doesn't have to be scary if nothing changes. It's just like the friendship we have, just a bit more.. intimate", I said. "And if it does get too weird, or anything that'll make one of us feel like it's not going to work out, we'll just talk about it to see what's best. Whatever happens, I don't want this to ruin our friendship." She nodded and smiled. "I'm glad you feel that way", she said. She placed one hand on my cheek and turned my head so I'd be facing her. She took a deep breath and placed her lips on mine. Our lips moved in sync as I laid my hand on her waist. We slowly leaned back and laid down on the blanket.

"I could get used to this", she said pulling away. I giggled. Once again, our lips touched, but more intense this time. "We're not gonna do it here, are we?", Lily said. I bit my lip, trying to control myself. "Why not?", I said jokingly. I pushed her hair behind her ear and rubbed her cheek. She laid her hand on mine. "So are we really gonna do this?", she asked hopefully. I nodded. "I'm in if you're in." She smiled and gave the most gently kiss.
