About an hour later, Lily came back to the bar with the girls she was dancing with. "Can you get us some drinks?", she asked. "Sure, what would you like?" "I want another Mojito. And they can decide for themselves", Lily said. She leaned against the bar, waiting for her drink. "I'll get one of those too", one of the girls said. "I'll get a cosmo", the other girl said. I nodded.

I got the supplies, but missed the mint leaves. "I'll be right back." I walked to the fridge and got a new pack of mint leaves. When I got back, Lily was behind the bar mixing all sorts of drinks. "What are you doing?", I asked. "It's taking too long", she said. She poured some rum straight to her mouth and poured the rest into a glass. "There", she said. "Thanks for nothing." They walked away. I frowned at her behaviour. "What the hell did just happen?", I said to myself.

I cleaned up the mess they made and took off my apron. "I'll be right back." I walked up to Lily and her new friends and pulled her aside. "What was that?", I said. "What was what?" "What you just did up there", I said. "Nothing. We just wanted our drinks." "You could've just be patient. Or at least a bit nice to me", I said. "Don't be such a baby." She turned back to her friends.

I shook my head and walked out through the back door. I looked around me. No one's here. I got a pack of cigarettes out of my pocket and lit one. As I took a puff, a few girls came bursting out the door, laughing. I turned my back to them and took another puff of my cigarette.

I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder.

"What are you doing?", I heard. I turned around and saw Lily looking at my cigarette. "I didn't know you smoked." I shrugged my shoulders. "Well, you don't have to know everything about me", I said. I took another puff and put out the cigarette. I walked back inside, to the bar.

I poured myself a drink and sat on the edge of the counter behind me. I took a deep breath as I saw a few people walk towards me. I put down my drinks and greeted them. "What can I get you?", I asked. "Just two beers and a rum and coke", one of the guys said. I nodded and made their drinks.

As I handed them their drinks, I saw Lily approaching me. "What do you want?", I asked. "Do you always talk to customers like that?", she said and giggled. I raised an eyebrow and grabbed my drink. "Can we talk?", she asked. "Depends", I said looking at her friends. "They won't be there. Just us."

I followed her through the back door.

"What do you wanna talk about? Were the drinks not good enough? Did I not make them fast enough?", I said sarcastically. "Stop", she said. "Then what?" She sighed. "Look, I'm sorry I'm being so mean." "Why are you acting like that?", I asked. "It's just... I.. I can't tell you yet." I looked at her confused. "What do you mean?", I asked. "You'll find out eventually, just not tonight." I raised an eyebrow and walked away. "Find a new bartender".

I walked to the bar and took off my apron. "Where are you going?", Max asked. "I'm done." I grabbed my stuff and headed outside. I stood on the side of the street and tried to get a taxi, since I didn't feel like walking. Suddenly I hear someone yell my name. "Emma!" I turned around and saw Lily approaching me. "Wait, please." I shook my head. "I'm done for tonight Lily. Have fun." She sighed and pulled me with her to the alley on the side of the club. Before I could say anything, she pushed me against the wall and pressed her lips on mine.
