"Catch!", Jake yelled as he threw the ball at me. I caught it just in time. I threw it back to him and went back to my towel.

"Done throwing?", Lily asked. I chuckled. "I have no idea why he likes doing that so much. It's so boring", I said. "He's still a child. A big fat man child." "Aren't we all?", I said. "Children? Yes. Man children? No, not really", she said. We both laughed.

"Wanna go and get some ice cream?", she asked. "Sure", I said. We got up and headed for the nearest ice cream stand.

"I was hoping I could talk to you", she said. I look at her. "Of course. What's up?", I asked. She took a deep breath. It stayed quiet for a while.

"Lil, what's going on? I'm starting to worry", I said. "It's not that bad actually. I'm just looking for the right words", she said. "Well, take your time."

We got to the ice cream stand and ordered our cones.

"So what did you want to tell me?", I asked. We sat down at a table. "I think I like someone", she said. My heart started racing. "Who is it?", I said pretending to be excited. "Trevor", she said. My heart stopped. "Trevor?" She nodded. "I know it's sudden, but he's been really nice to me. I could even spend two nights at his place when my dad went insane", she said. I sighed. "You spent the night with him? As in..?" "No way! You know I'm still.. A virgin." She whispered the last bit. "Okay good. Because I think he has some serious issues down there", I said. She giggled. "I'm not planning on doing it with him anytime soon. I just like him, that's all. And I think he likes me too." I nodded. "Well, good for you", I said. I looked around me.

"You don't really sound excited", she said. "I just don't think Trevor is the right guy for you", I said. She nodded. "He might not be, but that's for me to figure out."

I got up. "Let's head back to the guys", I said. "Uh, sure", she said. She got up and followed me back to our towels.

"Are you okay?", she asked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be", I said smiling. I ran up to Jake and wrapped my arms around him.

"Oh fuck!", he said. He turned around and faced me. "Hey you", I said. He smiled. "Hey babe. Where have you been?", he asked. "Getting ice cream with Lily. Why? Did you miss me?", I said with a smirk. "Of course I did", he said and pecked my lips.

A smirk formed on his face. "What?", I asked smiling. He didn't say anything. Suddenly he lift me up and dragged me to the water.

"No!", I yelled. "Oh yes", he said. He kept splashing water in my face. "Please!", I yelled. He threw me in, just like that.

"Asshole", I said laughing. I ran up to him and pulled him in. "Oh shit!", he said laughing. "Didn't see that coming", he said. I smiled. "Yes you did. You just didn't wanna show it." He shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe." I laughed. He got back up and flipped his hair back. "I'll get you back for that", he said.

I pecked his lips and walked back to Lily. I noticed she looked a bit sad.

"Are you okay?", I asked and sat next to her. She nodded. "You look really happy with Jake", she said. I smiled. "I am."

And I honestly was. I just didn't love him the way he loved me.

"I want what you have", she said. "A hot boyfriend?", I asked. She giggled. "That too." "But I mean, the way you two just get along so well. Don't you ever fight?", she asked. I shook my head. "Not really", I said.

I wrapped my arm around her. "Someone in this world loves you. I promise", I said. She smiled. "Do you really think so?", she asked. I nodded. "I know so." She rested her head on my shoulder.

"I packed vodka. Do you want some?", I asked reaching for my bag. "Uh yes!" I giggled and pulled out two water bottles.

"This is water?", she said taking a bottle from me. "It's undercover vodka", I said and giggled.

"Good thinking." She opened the bottle and took a big sip. "Gross", she said and took another.
