I walked into the kitchen, finding Lily sitting at the kitchen table. "Hey, what are you foing?", I said walking up to her. I kissed her on the cheek. "Just some reading", she said. "Do you wanna go out and do something?", I asked grabbed the cartion of milk form the fridge. She shook her head. "No, I'm good." I nodded. "I think I'm going for a run then", I said. She nodded. "Sure. See you in a bit."

I went upstairs to get changed, when I saw a notebook sticking out from under the matress. I took it out. "Diary", it said. I thought about reading it for a second, but decided not to. I put it back where I found it got changed into some running shorts and a tank top.

I went back downstairs. "I'll be back in about an hour", I said and pecked her on the lips. She nodded. "Okay."

I walked out the door and put on my headphones.

I was running on the boulevard when I noticed jake, alone. "Jake!", I yelled. He turned around and waved. "What's up?", he said as I approached him. "Just out for a run. What about you?", I said. "Just here for a walk. Daisy and I broke up." "Sorry to hear that?", I said. "What happened?" He shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly don't know. I thought things were going great. Guess she didn't feel the same", he said. "Sucks. You'll find someone, I'm sure." He looked at me and smiled. "You know, I had someone. Until she stopped calling me and became a lesbian." I hit his arm. "Now I see why she broke up with you." He laughed. "I miss you", he said. "We should hang out soon." I nodded. "Definitely. Laft one to get to the pier, has to pay for lunch!", I said. I ran as fast as I could. I looked behind me and saw Jake trying his best to catch up with me. "Come on, loser!"

After minutes, I got to the pier. Jake got there a minute later. "You suck", I said. He shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe I let you win." I laughed. "Sure", I said. "Guess I'm paying for lunch. Are you free now?", he said. I nodded. "Since you're paying, I'm gonna eat everything from the menu", I said. I chuckled and shook his head. "You haven't changed a bit." "Well duh, it's been like 3 weeks since we've seen each other. It's not like I lost my appetite all of a sudden."

We got to a dinner and slid in a booth.

"Hi there, what can I get you?", a waitress asked. "I'll get a chocolate milkshake", Jake said. "I'll have the same." She nodded. "I'll be right back with your drinks." She walked away.

"I'm gonna get the bacon cheeseburger, the chicken and waffles and a big portion of fries. Oh and maybe curly fries as well", I said. "Damn, that's a lot." He checked his wallet. "Guess I'll just stick with the milkshake then", he said. I giggled. "You honestly think I'm gonna eat all that. I'm just gonna get a burger." "Thought so", he said. I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?", I asked. "I knew you couldn't eat all that." I rested my arms on the table. "Wanna bet?" I reched out my hand, waiting for him to shake it. He thought about it for a second. "Deal."

"Here are your drinks. Can I get you something to eat?", the waitress asked. "I'll get a bacon cheeseburger, chicken and waffles, some fries and some curly fries. Oh and add some onion rings to that." Her eyes widened. "Anything else?" I looked at Jake. "Are you sure you don't want anything?" I slid a 10 dollar bill across the table. He smiled. "A hotdog and some fries sounds great", he said. She nodded and left.

"Get ready to get your ass beat", I said. I took a sip of my milkshake and checked my phone for any messages.

"So, how did you go from being all sporty to ordering almost everything from the menu?", he asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I think it's you. Your money makes me hungry", I said. He chuckled. "You handed me your money tho", he said. I shrugged my shoulders. "Couldn't eat all that and have you eat nothing." "Fair enough", he said.
