"Hi! I just want to say, I absolutely love your book!" I smiled. "Thank you! What's your name?", I asked. "It's Ellie."
"To Ellie. Keep on reading!", I wrote and handed her the book.
It went on like this for a while.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Emma Maxwell will be answering a few questions now."
I sat on a chair on a small stage and got handed a microphone."Hi everyone. Thank you all so much for coming. This is my second last stop, and I've enjoyed it so much. Thank you for reading my book, it means the world to me. Now, ask away", I said. I picked the first person.
"Hi Emma. Huge fan! I wanted to know, how old were you when you started writing?" "I was 14 when I started writing for fun. I started writing this book when I was around 15 or 16 and I finished it last year, when I was 20", I said.
"You over there", I said pointing at a guy in the bag.
"Emma, great book! Question, what inspired you to write Gone With The Wind?", he asked."Good question. I've been pretty lonely since I was about 12. My parents travelled a lot for their jobs, they still do, and I practically had to raise myself. Don't get me wrong, I love them and they try, but I felt kind if abandoned so I looked for ways to express myself. When I started writing this book, I expressed the feelings I felt."
"You over here", I said pointing to a woman in the front.
"Amazing book, big fan. How are you able to do this all by yourself at the age of 21?", she asked.
"It's been pretty wild, and it's hard to deal with by yourself. In the beginning, I had someone with me. It went pretty well, but she had a job, and I had mine. We kinda went our separate ways. She helped me take this step and now I'm here, thanks to her. Right now, I got all of my fans supporting me and my manager who helps me through stressing times. Once I got used to it, I looked forward to every single tour date."
"Are you seeing anyone?", a guy asked. I chuckled and shook my head. "No. And I plan on keeping it that way", I said and winked.
Then a little girl wanted to ask me something.
"Hello, my name is Emily and I really like your book", she said. "Hi Emily, how old are you?", I asked. "I'm 10, almost 11", she said. "Woah, and you've read my book already?" "Well, my mommy reads it to me every day. And my favorite is Chelsea, i love her soooo much." I smiled at her cuteness. "Well, She's my favorite too. Do you know why?" She shook her head. "Because she looks a like you. She is also very smart, and pretty. The girl smiled.
I answered a few more questions and I got to the final one. "You", I said pointing to a girl in the very back. "I'm definitely your biggest fan. Do you have some time after this, "meeting"?", she asked. "Sorry, I have.. Lily?", I said as I took a good look at her. I smiled and nodded.
"Thank you all so much for coming. I hope to back very soon with a second book!" There was clapping and cheering as I got off stage. I look for Lily when my manager pulled me out of the crowd.
"What are you doing? We gotta go", she said. I shook my head. "Just give me a minute", I said.
I made my way through the crowd and spotted Lily. "Hey!", I said. She smiled. "Hi." We just looked at each other for a while, until she pulled me into a hug. "I've missed you", she said. "How long has it been? Like, a year?", I asked. She nodded. "Too long", she said. "Do you have time for a cup of coffee?" I nodded. "I'll make time", I said. I waved to my manager and she rushed over. "I'm gonna get some coffee. I'll be back in an hour, I promise", I said. "An hour. Not a minute longer, or I'll shave your hair off", she said. We both laughed. "You're the best manager. See you in a bit." "Airport in an hour!" I nodded as we walked out.
