"Our wounds can so easily turn us into people we don't want to be, and we hardly see it happening."

Danielle was sitting in the living room, in front of the fire place.

"Everything alright, sweetheart?" Théière inquired.

"I'm just wondering who that girl was in the picture I saw," she replied in all honesty, "She looks so familiar."

"Come sit in the kitchen, dearie. I'll explain it to you over a cup of tea," the elder woman said and walked out of the room.

Danielle followed in her footsteps although she didn't need to because she knew where it was due to her after midnight snacking habits.

"She is his sister," Théière said and her eyes gained a glaze, "A wonderful girl. William loved her like the perfect brother. So when she suddenly died, he became someone else."

"What did she die from?" she whispered, not daring to ask such a question aloud.

"She was killed by one of his rivals. Amanda was seventeen at the time when it happened and he was twenty-one. He was devastated because of the loss. He already took care of her for seven years so when it happened, he shut everyone out. She was a complete and utter romantic at heart. Rumor goes she made him promise he would find his true love before he turned twenty-five before she took her final breath."

"How old is he now?"

"Twenty-four."

Danielle took a sip of the camomile tea, savouring the sweet taste while they discussed the bitter memories. It left a bittersweet taste behind.

"He'll be turning twenty-five next year," she commented.

"Can I ask you about that gun?"

"Sure, sweetheart. It's one of a kind. But because it is unique, it has custom made bullets which have been only made once. When the round is up, it is up and then the gun is worthless. It's the gun that killed his sister. He wants to use that to kill the man responsible for the death of Amanda."

"How did you end up here, Théière?"

"I've always been here. I took care of the children Féroce. I was looking for a job as housekeeper and I had been offered this. Their father was never home and their mother had died when giving birth to Amanda. I think it made me a mother-figure for them since there was no other woman in their life."

"But he still threatens you," the brown-haired female mumbled in shock.

"It's his way of coping with everything, Danielle. When she was still alive, he was such a nice boy. Always had a smile on his face. Now, he turned into an emotionless beast who's only way to regain his feeling of being in charge is by threatening people. His heart just needs to be opened again with love."
