Danielle watched as Gianna's lifeless body hit the floor. She threw herself next to the dead female and tried to put pressure on the already fatal wound. When she started realizing she was too late to save her, tears started to fall from her eyes.
When William saw that, he began to try regaining control over his own body again in order to comfort the sobbing person. Slowly but surely, he finally got the upper hand from his inner demons and sat down next to the brown haired female who cradled Gianna's corpse in her arms as she sobbed.
The moment he wanted to touch her arm, she flinched and started crying even more.
"You killed her," she said between her heaving attempts to breathe.
"I had to," he told her in the most soft voice he could conjure, "She killed my sister."
The girl froze on the spot when she heard those four words.
"You are lying," she mumbled over and over again, like a CD stuck on repeat.
"I am not, Dani," the raven haired man said, "This was the gun she killed her with. It was her own gun."
"You didn't have to kill her!" Danielle said, her sadness suddenly turning into a fit of rage.
"I had to," he tried to reason, "I promised Amanda."
"Couldn't you get her put behind bars instead of killing her?" the female asked, silent salt droplets threatening to fall from her eyelashes. Every time she blinked they gained more volume.
William's heart started to clench at the sight of Danielle in tears and he wanted to make it stop. He wanted to her smile again like she had nothing to think about anymore.
"Everyone will leave me," she sobbed, "My mother left me... my father too."
A silence blanketed the room, even though it was a short one.
"Gianna died because I ran away," her heaving became stronger with each breath she took, "It's all my fault."
