Rye's POV

I've noticed lately when we go to the studio Brook isn't always on top of it like he use to be when he started the band. I wanted to figure out why. I was doing my part of the song then Brooklyn comes in and harmonizes. When we reached that part his voice was soft and it seemed like he was scared. I stopped causing him to stop then I proceeded to turn the microphones off.
"Is something wrong?" I asked as I pushed him out of view from the window to the studio room.

"Splendid!" He replied.

"No it's not." I said

"It's fine. It's just me being stupid." Brooklyn said.

"Spill." I replied pulling him into the living room and telling the guys to get out so we could talk.

"I hate my voice Rye. I feel like it's horrible. That's why I don't like harmonizing. Yours is so beautiful and angelic mine isn't." Brooklyn stated which that pulled my heart strings.

"No it's not. It's so beautiful and you have an amazing voice don't tell yourself other." I replied caressing his cheek.

"Thanks for trying to cheer me up. Let's get back to recording." Brooke said standing up and walking back to the studio room.

Next back at the flat.

I was determined to show Brooke that he had an amazing voice. I was currently in the kitchen fixing tea and I heard Brooke singing in the shower. I walked in.

"You do have an amazing voice! And don't try and practice and ruin your voice." I said as I opened the shower door.

He blushed.

"Next time knock." He said.

"I will. But hurry up I want to cuddle." I said causing him to blush even more.

"Okay jeez. Give me 10 minutes." He replied closing the door.

I didn't really want to cuddle tonight was karaoke night and it's something we recently started. He's the only one who forgot.

When we did get the karaoke started Brooke kinda just shut down.

"BROOKLYN! Your turn!!" Andy said excited.

"I'll pass. I just want to watch." He replied sulking into his bed.

"Okay." Mikey said.

"I won't stan for that. Come on Brooke song with me!" I said.

"I-I b-but I." Brooklyn was messing up his words and finally gave into singing with me.

After the song Brooke made up the excuse of going to the bathroom.

"Brooklyn Wyatt! Open up this door." I said concerned.

No answer.

I repeated the same thing but more soft and gentle.

I heard the door unlock and he opened it.

I pulled him into a hug straight away as he began crying.

"Why do you hate your voice so much? I don't see a problem with it. It's beautiful. We wouldn't have put you in this band if we did t like your voice." I said softly running my fingers through his hair.

"I hate it Rye. I sing horrible. All of you guys have an amazing voice, I don't. I can't bare it any longer. I try my hardest to get the parts down to the songs we do but I always mess up. I can't seem to get it down and it's always hard especially since we always have 2 Days. It's not enough time." Brooklyn said.

Brooklyn's POV

By the time I got done talking to Rye about my feelings I was in tears and I didn't realize we ended up back into the bedroom where all the guys were.

"Brooke...why didn't you tell us? That you felt so insecure and pressured." Mikey asked softly.

"Because I couldn't bring myself to do it." I replied burying my head Into Rye's shoulder even more.

"Let him rest guys...we will talk about this later." Rye said standing up and I also did as I climbed up to his bed.

He put his arms around me.

"You have an amazing voice baby. No one can tell you different. Don't say that no one like you. Because they do. Keep working hard and always tell me when you need time, I'll make sure you get enough time. The fans love and support you, don't let the hate get to you. I hope this helps with convincing you to love yourself and your voice." Rye said as he left a gentle kiss on my lips.

Rye always does it. He always is there for me. He helps me. In almost 5 months I felt happy again and felt like I could breathe. In almost 5 months I felt like I could love myself and my voice again.
