Rye's POV

I hated every minute of every day except for weekends. Why? Because that means school and school means that Harvey is there...he's my bully. Has been since grade 2 yet we go to the same college too. I was now at my locker getting my books for class when my locker slammed shut.
"What do you want Harvey?" I asked annoyed. I've learned to deal with it and talk back and let him no I'm not scared of him.

He just sneered and hit me. I've learned to deal with that too.

"Well isn't someone acting like a big boy today." Harvey replied giggling.

"I'm surprised he's not running away to his mummy." His Side friend said giving him a high five.

"Shut the hell up." I said reopening my locker

"What did you say pretty boy?" Harvey asked me.

"You heard me." I growled as I got the rest of my books and slammed the locker shut.

He actually punched me in my face causing my nose to bleed. He's never gone to that point of violence. This was scaring me. This was the first time I have been scared of him in a long time.

"HEY! Get the hell out of here! He had done nothing to you! Now go before I report." My best friend Andy said rushing to my side.

They walked away.

"Let's go to the washrooms to get you cleaned up." Andy said as he helped me get up.

We walked to the washroom.

"Thank y-you." I said as I looked up at Andy with glossed up eyes.

"No need to thank me love. You need to tell someone. It's been going on for ages. You're scared I can tell." Andy said as he caressed my cheek.

A few tears slipped out.

"Rye?" Harvey called into the bathroom.

Without realizing it I let out a whimper.

"Rye. Oh my god. I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I would never do that to you. I never intended to do that. I can't control my feelings especially for you Rye. I love you. And I'm sorry." Harvey said as he came to my side but I cowered away into Andy's shoulder.

I saw the hurt in his face when I moved closer to Andy.

"I need to get to this class I can't miss it. I'll trust Harvey. Just stay strong." Andy said as he whispered the last part into my ear and kissed me on the cheek then walked out.

I whimpered because I lost Andy and wasn't going to feel safe so I let tears fall.

"Rye...I'm sorry." Harvey said coming closer to me then helping me clean off.

I stayed quiet.

"If you don't want to talk I understand. It's because I like you and I was struggling with my feeling. I had to take them out on someone and I chose you and I feel so bad. I'm sorry. I should t have done it." Harvey said as he kissed my forehead softly then went on again cleaning up the blood because my nose was still bleeding.

I didn't want to tell but I really like Harvey and I've been waiting for this for quite awhile.

"There. I know it's still early but do you want to stay at school or go back home? I'm willing to take you since you usually walk or Andy takes you to school." Harvey said.

"Home." I said quietly it was barely audible.

We basically ditched the rest of the day and went back to my house so I could rest.

We were currently in the car and I was usually one to fall asleep on car rides even if it was only like 30 minutes.

Next thing I know I was being carried inside and carried to my room.

Harvey was about to walk out.

"No. Stay with me. Please." I said groggily.

"Anything for you." He replied taking his shoes off and climbing into my bed.

I moved closer to him nuzzling my face into the crook of his neck.

"I have one question before you got to sleep." Harvey said.

I hummed in response.

"Would you want to take the honors of being mine?" He said running his fingers through my hair.

"I would love too." I said as I kissed his cheek and fell asleep.

I had a feeling no one or anything would hurt me anymore as long as I was with Harvey.
