Kakasimula palang ng araw ni Karylle pero parang gusto na kagad niyang umuwi para makatakas sa sakit ng ulo. Napilitan pa siyang pumasok nang mas maaga than usual para sa isang emergency board meeting.

"Kung hindi natin kagad maayos 'yung issue, within a few months lalo tayong babagsak. Kailangan natin makahanap ng client or better yet another company na willing tumulong sa'tin to get back to the top."

Tahimik lang si Karylle na nakikinig sa suggestions ng board members. Fifteen more minutes and they were finally done.

Karylle went back to her office still without a single word. Stress was taking over her consciousness she didn't even notice the piece of paper that was left placed on her desk until she accidentally shoved it away as she started to fix some other documents.

She stood up to get the paper and read its contents intently, it was formally written in the form of a contract. It seemed almost too impossible for her to understand whatever its point is until the last few lines written left her more speechless than ever,

"I, Jose Marie Viceral, President and C.E.O. of Viceral's Unkabogable Designs Company, would like to formally offer you a deal which I presume would help your company recover from its current critical state. This contract also signifies that our personal businesses should not in any way and any reason affect our jobs and as your future girlfriend, pinapangako ko po na hinding-hindi kita hahadlangan sa kung anuman ang gusto mong gawin sa KLHAC; all following one condition, of course. Ano 'te sinuswerte lang? Sagutin mo muna ako uy. Ano, pwede na po ba kitang maging boyfriend once and for all, officially, Kumander?"

After a couple of minutes of staring at the paper, she finally got back into her senses and wasted no time to see him.

Sa sobrang excitement ay nakalimutan na niyang kumatok at dire-diretso lang na pumasok sa office ni Vice. Nag-angat ng tingin ang huli but before he could even say a word ay tinakbo na ni Karylle ang distanya sa pagitan nila at sinunggaban ito ng mahigpit na yakap.

She was trying my best to hold back her tears as she uttered countless "Thank you!"'s

"Happy?" tanong ni Vice na nauna nang kumawala,

"Yes! Sobrang happy!! Gosh, what did I even do to deserve a friend like you?!"

He smiled, but she can tell it wasn't real at all.

"Alam mo namang nandito lang ako 'lagi bilang kaibigan."

"Well not anymore, mukhang kailangan mo na dumoble kayod simula ngayon. 'Di na papasa 'yung simple friendly acts mo, baka bukas makalawa hiwalayan na agad kita.."

Napakunot naman ng noo si Vice, not getting even the gist of what she was trying to imply.

Karylle sighed and crossed her arms whilst standing in front of him, "I was expecting you'd ask me something about the last part of your letter pero mukhang kahit maka-ilang clue ako dito hindi mo pa rin ako magegets."

"Ha?—Wait! Does this mean,"

"Nag-thank you na ko diba? Ang kapal naman ng mukha kong gawin yun kung hindi ko naman pala tatanggapin yung condition mo."

"Eh kasi naman eh!! Nililito mo pa 'ko eh!"

Natawa lang si Karylle sa inasta nito at naglakad na palayo, "At dahil sinagot na kita, you better treat me dinner tonight after work. Dun na tayo magcelebrate since we both still have a lot of work to do. Bye, Pogi!"

Napailing si Vice sabay sandal ulit sa upuan niya at hinilot ang sentido, "Nakakaloka ka pala maging jowa, Karel. Unang araw palang may gastos na."
