Writing a thank you card for money is easy.

Thank you so much for the money you gave me. I love money. It is so useful. I will use it to buy something for myself that will be really nice and make me really happy. Happiness is hard to buy, but through your gift, you have achieved in buying me happiness. Money is the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you!

 Someone gave me flowers, and try as I may, I could not, can not, think of an apporpriate thing to say about them. Nothing that makes me sound grateful. Why would anyone give me flowers? Flowers are what you give to dead people and lay of their tomb stones to wilt and wither. I know I should feel grateful that someone anyone bothered to think of me and get me a flower, but all I can think is dead dead dead. Wilted dead flowers.

I wanted to thank you for the dead flowers. They were such a thoughtful gift. They remind me of how flowers look before they are dead when they are alive and bright and colorful and blossoming. I truly thought they looked gorgeous when I got them, all blue and happy, looking almost like they hadn't yet realized they were already dead. And they hadn't. They looked alive. Thank you so much! A day later my flower wilted in its vase, and now it's all dried up. Thank you. Your gift didn't last forever.
